^ i was thinking bout getting stock while the market was still fuck’d up… what stock do yall suggest i buy???

    ***Citi’s down to like 85 cents a share….

    >But Citi is going to continue getting capital injections from the US gov…that dilutes the value of the stock. Its also extremely likely that Citi will go bankrupt or be nationalized at which point the stock will be worthless.

***you could almost say it’s worthless, now…I’m just thinking that, once the credit markets rebound, they may have a decent infusion of cash, and the stock, while it won’t necesarily go thru the roof, will substantially exceed 85 cents a share- the stock market is a gamble; if you go for low risk jawns like Coca Cola and Target, you’ll get a “playing it safe” type return….I’m not Jim Kramer or anything like that, lol, but I do follow the market and trends- seriously, i predicted the tech bubble burst waaaaaaay before it happened, as well as the current housing crisis….economics is like any other aspect in life- sometimes, you gotta go with your instincts…

Basically we are all tryin to find which stock is really low right now, but will be guaranteed to rebound… The same as probably every body in the world… lol

I was thinking about buying some stocks too. I have 10k but I want to put it in a high risk stock with super hight potentional. I want a stock that either they go bankrupt or I gain 20 times my money in ten years. I was thinking citi but I think they’ll go belly up this year. I may go with aig. So in like 5 yrs I’m repping the benifits.

  26. b-ease Says:

300 had some real bizarre homoerotic undertones, pause. Pretty good flick, but definetlly not a masterpiece.

Watchmen was dope. I actually think it would have better served the movie if the director had been less faithful to the book. Certain things arent given enough time to flesh out, and that mite leave some heads confused. The director got the look, but the tone was all off. Like I said, tho, definetly a dope flick.

^True…but Citi is more likely to whipe out stockholders than rebound at this point.

And I say Coca/Target because they will definitely survive this, their stocks have been punished…and they will be some of the first to recover.

You’ll make much more money buying low and selling high with safe stocks, then taking a flier on an extremely distressed one like Citi and hoping for the miracle.

I agree that someday Citi will be trading in the $20s – $30s again…but most likely after the stock is cancelled, current shareholders are whiped out…the balance sheet is cleaned up…and the company is taken public again in 5yrs.

***I was reading this story today, about how foreign investors are scooping up cribs in Detroit- the median home value there is only like $18K, so if you have the patience to play the waiting game for the housing market to rebound, that gamble willl almost certainly pay off…houses out there cost less than cars…

**Fair synopsis…I thought that Watchmen had some homo undertones, too—in fact, I was like, “yo, is Zack Snyder a homo”? LOL…I mean, damn, nigga, can you shoot Dr. Manhattan from the waist UP every now and then (none)…we really don’t need the panoramic shot of his package, every scene, lol….it woulda been impossible to flesh out the entire series- I mean, the flick had an almost 3 hr running time, as it stood—seriously, I assume you’ve read the book, so I know that it had to be better than what you expected, right? (none)

  37. UPSET THE SETUP Says:

SO I JUST WANT TO SET ONE THING STRAIGHT ABOUT DC HIP HOP.

In the 90s there was perhaps one of the most illest hip hop crews EVER in DC called the Infinite Loop. They were the first DC Hip Hop group to headline the 930 Club so if you know anything about DC then you know whats up. Of the Infinite Loop was an MC named OMEGA RHED. HE WAS KNOWN AS A FEROCIOUS BATTLE MC ON THE MIC. HE SERVED YOUR FAVORITE RAPPERS BEFORE THEY WAS OUT, AND THOSE WHO WAS ON THE SCENE IN THE 90s IN DC KNOW WHAT I’M TALKING.

So to have some fake OMEGA RED up there with some weak flow, rhyming with WALE, DC’s New Ambassador of hip hop is just straight blasphemous. HISTORICAL REVISIONISM.

  38. Big D Says:

This OMEGA RED is no where near the Original OMEGA RHED aka Big Ray aka Ray Gracie. OMEGA RHED was one of the Illest Battle MC’s of all time, without a doubt. OMEGA RHED still is a amazing MC PERIOD.

I know Omega Rhed, very well and he is still working on his craft and is producing and writing for some of the biggest rappers out.
Infinite Loop was putting DC on the Map in the 90′s.

Want to talk about Hip Hop History, I remember Ray going verse for verse with Eminem at Baruch College Radio Station, months before he got signed when Em was the unsigned hype. I sat in the waiting room with Paul Rosenberg (before he was some powerful) and listened to them, not battle but spit verse for verse…then after 30 or 40 minutes only one MC remained killing it and left all in wonder and that was Big Ray aka Omega Rhed.

AL Skillz (Lyricist Lounge) and Pumpkin Head (Natural Resources and now of Brooklyn Academy) was there that night, can’t remember the DJ Hoisting that night, but someone has a recording of that.

Man those were the days. And for sure WALE should be performing with the Original Omega Rhed of Infinite Loop.
