How was the movie watchmen? Is it worth paying to see?

**If you’re a fan of the book, it’s a faithful interpretation of Watchmen, line for line and panel for panel, and worth watching..the only major drawback is that there’s waaaaaaaay too much schlong (n/h) featured in the film….

**Do yourself a favor, and read the book…Alan Moore’s dialogue comes off like prose….Seriously, I guarantee that it’s better than any novel you’ve read lately…I was late to read it, myself (just finished this past Friday), and I regret that I just picked it up…the movie has to be the most faithful interpretation of a written work, that I’ve seen, yet- only like one or two discrepancies to speak of…

And just so much info you cant convey on the screen, plus the way the book cross cuts from one scene to another is amazing. They did a good job in the alleyway fight with Manhattan talkin but the book pulls it off so much better.

**M’fukkas always try to find fault with adaptations…Watchmen, the film, was almost exactly like Watchmen, the book- line for line dialogue and everything, which is an incredible feat, considering that Watchmen was long considered to be “unfilmable”…seriously, this flick was the best possible adaptation to the book, but of course the book was more enjoyable….kind of like, I was a huge Boondocks comic strip fan, and I had to learn to love (no arranged marriage) the Cartoon Network adaptation, even though it was hilarious from the jump- I resisted the new incarnation because I loved the original version so much….hardcore Watchmen fan are extra gay for the book, and the Watchmen creator, Alan Moore, is vehemently opposed to ANY of his works being made into film- that goes for Watchmen, V is for Vendetta, or whatever else he’s done (Swamp Thing, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen)

***I read the book first, but the thing that made me want to read it was that the movie was coming out; I haven’t really been into comics, per se, since like 9th grade or some shit, but I dig comics flicks…Since I’m not really familiar with the Watchmen mythology, I wanted to check out the book, which, by the way, Time Magazine crowned as one of the 100 greatest novels of all time- not graphic novel, novel, period…Normally, I just watch the movie and ignore the book, lol, but I’m glad that I made an exception, this time…To be honest, though, I hated the last part of the book AND the movie, but the rest was immaculate…

I honestly can’t think of one good video game movie. Maybe the resident evil ones. Only because they didn’t try to mimic it exactly. They were decent.

***you could almost say it’s worthless, now…I’m just thinking that, once the credit markets rebound, they may have a decent infusion of cash, and the stock, while it won’t necesarily go thru the roof, will substantially exceed 85 cents a share- the stock market is a gamble; if you go for low risk jawns like Coca Cola and Target, you’ll get a “playing it safe” type return….I’m not Jim Kramer or anything like that, lol, but I do follow the market and trends- seriously, i predicted the tech bubble burst waaaaaaay before it happened, as well as the current housing crisis….economics is like any other aspect in life- sometimes, you gotta go with your instincts…

**They put out a Chun Li movie last week, lol…I heard that Max Payne was aiight…and to be honest, I didn’t HATE the first MK movie-didn’t love it, either, though….
