Listen to the first half of this audio and let me know if I’m buggin. Because, no disrespect to ED O.G. or Boston, or Special Teamz, but it sounds to me like these dudes might be overreacting a little something. The gist of it is, Joe was performing in Boston and asked that the stage be cleared before he started performing because he didn’t want a “sausage fest” onstage during his set. Now, I wasn’t there and I don’t know how he said it or the exact words he used, but that sounds like a valid request to me. Anyway, some of the goons present took offense to his statements and now Ed and them are saying he’s banned from Boston. I mean, it seems to me like if you all were that offended by what he said, then ya’ll should’ve set it on him right then and there. Don’t let dude finish performing, leave the spot and the city unscathed, and then announce that he’s banned. And now ya’ll talking about recording a diss song? Come on man.
Anyway, the second half of the clip features Next, the CEO of Amalgam, talking about how Saigon is gonna drop his All In A Day’s Work project with Statik Selektah on Amalgam.

…. he wouldn’t necessarily have to sign a full deal with them he could just sign a distribution deal for the one CD, Term did that with the Dilla If Heaven Was a Mile away mixtape he released it through amalgam but he is signed to nature sounds records, not sure how many albums the deal was for. So Saigon could just use amalgam digital for this shit with statik but the same thing still applies that he clowned Budden for it so how is he gonna turn around and have that be the first place he goes ? wouldn’t matter to me I’m still gonna bump it but thats definitely a clown move ….

ok ok ok…everyone needs to relax on this shit. Im a promoter from the bean, involved in alot of the local hip-hop shit, and this is being blown wayyyyy outta proportion. DJ’s and promoters involved in the incident need to back off Joe Budden. They should realize hes a crazy, head case individual, and to not take his antics and off the top statements, personally. Also, the show was performed at The Middle East. The stage is a foot off of the ground, and the backstage in located on the side of the main stage, all the goons and local acts that performed, all congregate on the side of the stage, so Buddens asking heads to move off the “immediate” performing area, is reasonable, otherwise, dudes chilling backstage is cool…Edo and On & On need to stop promoting the negative shit about the show and focus on the POSITIVE ie: Saigon and Budden signing to the same label (smh?), causing dope hip-hop controversy, with good music…so this shit is wack, Boston used to be mad tough and grimey, now we got a wack rep for being washed up street acts making generic, run of the mill music, for the most part….

It’s hilarious that a promoter like Leedz Edutainment thinks they have any say whatsoever in who can play in Boston or not.
Joe Budden’s booking agent could call up any venue in Boston – The Middle East, the bullshit Harpers Ferry, etc. etc. – and book a gig with better promotion than Leedz could ever provide if they just did it themselves.
Granted I think Joe Budden is just more of the same old bullshit. I wouldn’t listen to a Joe Budden song unless he slipped his CD in my car while I wasn’t looking.
Hopefully Joe Budden & Edu Leedz kill each other so neither of these fools gets a headline ever again.

I was there at the Boston show on Thursday. It was a dope show. I’ll say this..
Ed OG’s boy was being a complete idiot before Budden came out. Even Ed himself was acting like an idiot at one point. People were cheering for Budden wanting him to come on stage and Ed OG literally tried to slap a fan with the mic. Lets just say he wasn’t successful and he looked like an idiot. Budden came on stage and basically said he wanted to stage cleared of any people that weren’t related to him. Which like the poster said.. is a valid request. It’s not like he ever disrespected any one in particular. He didn’t say “fuck Boston” or anything. These clowns are over-reacting and they’re a prime example of when trying too hard to rep your city goes wrong. Fuck outta here. Budden gets mad love in Boston.
