Fair enough but i always envied niggas that went away to school mostly because i passed up a great opportunity and still regret it to this day and i’ve heard so many stories that i naturally took a liking to the school. Part of it was timing as the economy was booming, particulary finance where I work…and to be completely honest my race benefited me greatly because these companies have quotas they have to reach.

^The point of going to college is to maximize your opportunities, not designate it as your savior. Everybody isn’t entrepreneur and running a substantial business isn’t easy as it appears to be; however I commend those who do.

^I don’t communicate with ANYONE I graduated with. Well, besides the fact that I went to a predominately white school. Plus I’m on a whole different frequency these days. I’m glad that it worked out that way. If I would’ve stayed at Bowie State when I initially enrolled right after high school, life would’ve been so much different. But I know for sure I wouldn’t have been as enlightened as I am now.

I don’t think college is for everyone, but along the good times I had, I learned a lot. You really don’t need a degree to do what I do, but I would not be as good at it if I didn’t go to school. If you went to school not knowing what you wanted I can see how it could be difficult & force people away.

One of my good friends went to college and he is now a waiter.

But he drank his face off everyday and finished with a GPA below 2.0…so he made his own decisions. He didnt seek out any opportunities afforded to him by his working to a degree.

Absolutely but im my case i realized it the very next morning and did it again the next day. I used to wrestle with my conscience on a regular basis, beat my self about shit. I think i finally got it right, well at least i hope.
