    Cold I put most of my savings into my uncles restaurant that is a year old, I went to Az last month all-star weekend but my main purpose was to check out his new place and see the ambiance and see if it looked like a sound investment, I decided to go and gave him the cash. He needed some disposable cash so he had told me a while back.. I copped 10% of the shit and he said I could go in for more. Which I will take a watch and see approach, cuz I am not quite broke but pretty bent. But he owns two other restaurants and they both have done well, plus he is my uncle and has been there when I needed him. I cant lose imo.

    I gave one of my boys from home a little seed money to start a restaurant…shit was a good idea, just fucked up the execution…but it ended up going bust after like 2yrs. Fortunately, dude was stand up and had already bought me out with a small amount of interest so I didnt take the hit.

    The fact that your uncle has already succeeded is promising. You gotta have a track record of success.

    Ya the only shit that was my savings for me to cop a home. I took the approach that my fucking father is never home and I have to handle that shit all the time anyway so I wasnt moving anywhere for a while. Worst case my uncle said he could pay me back. I dont think i would ask for that shit. Especially if he is around 7-8k a month off the top, 600 a month or so isnt hurting my pockets at all.

    True. I knew a few people that owned restaurants. But if he has done it before he probably knows what the deal is. If you do it once you can do it again.

    The problem I see in SA most often is trying to expand too fast. Like opening another restaurant when people are just getting used to the first.
