Funny thing is that when that leprechaun album actually dropped TX was mad excited. Folks here used to love flip, but I think T.I. really messed it up for him. That & the fact the Slim Thug was against him. Chamillionaire made Mike Jones lose a lot of respect down here & he could never get it back. Its complicated.

Random cats was gettin murked becasue they was listenin to music on the wrong side of town. They shot Blade in front of his 4 year old son… then Blade, (paralized form the waste down), makes a diss track on the dude that tried to kill him after he allegedly had him killed. that ish was too much. the cats made a diss track sayin they was gonna finish the job and did. the whole detroit music scene left a bad taste in my mouth. (no arabic food)

The Houston thing was heavily orchestrated. They were all workin together planning to blow, but it seemed like right before it actually happened people got pissed. Too many events to lay out in a blog post. Basically they rode the little hype that was left into the mainstream & that made it worse. & a lot of people were pissed at slim thug for not reppin houston enough on already platinum.
basically they were all supposed to blow up together (none), but ego’s got in the way. It was really a family. Most of the new houston cats that came out then were all known for swishahouse tapes. Even though cham & paul wall were never part of the label, they were down with them.
