Video: Bill O’Reilly vs. Jay-Z & Young Jeezy
I hate to even spread this shit around outside of the circle of O’Reilly’s pea-brained, in-bred, mullet adorned audience, but it’s so absurd it’s almost comical. All of a sudden O’Reilly and Dennis Miller wanna sit up there and act like they’re so fucking happy to see Obama in the Whitehouse, and then in the same breath tear apart Jay and Jeezy for saying what most Black people in this country were already thinking. As if yesterday’s inauguration evened everything out. Fuck you O’Reilly. How about you pay my man Benhameen for that performance footage you jacked off the internet and used in your broadcast without his permission you slimy piece of excrement.
What’s the matter Bill…

We got dirt on you doggie!

ok first time I’m leaving a comment but anyway…
1. I voted for obama-getting that out the way
2. Dennis was right when he asked why they couldnt let the hate go for a day much more important than jeezy, hov or bush combined
3. saying “my president is black” and then dropping the n word (im white and rican i dont use it) is god damn near retarded.
4. eskay you do a god job with this shit best blog i go to BUT O’Reily while a pompous douche would absolutely GRILL your ass in a debate about the economy, foreign policy and just about anything else you can name…should have went with your 1st instinct and not posted this shit.
January 22nd, 2009 at 1:14 am
Jeezy is gonna keep it hood all day & i’m not mad at him.. I expect him to say some inappropriate things every now & again….
Jigga used clever word play and didn’t seem disrespectful to me… are we forgetting that Bush was the worst president ever? Are we forgetting how many lives he f*cked up..
January 22nd, 2009 at 1:14 am
@ BK- word I was like fuck you talking bout Dennis he isn’t talking about grabbing a chunk of the sun he is talking about capturing and harnessing it’s energy which is actually mad simple easy and cost effective over all our other energy, I’m saying this as a person whose bank account for now and the future is largely based on Oil money and I will tell you right now there is no need for us to ever use oil, with solar energy, wind and water turbines and other natural simple cheap methods this whole planet could run ever so smoothly and without problems but then you knock people to a somewhat level playing field and limit the need for competition which is what breeds success but there is a way to properly structure it so the gap isn’t so wide and people who want to do right can instead of leaving people with no options and sending people to war over Oil which the entire world can function without

.. yeah most people did but if they ended it with Tony being killed or going to jail that would of been a cop out and too generic for me, Sopranos always worked by their own rules and did shit their own way and that ending summed up the series perfectly for me, plus there was no one left to kill him and either way it wouldn’t wrap the show up with a neat bow like people say. Just because Tony would die or go to jail doesn’t end the story, who takes over ? how does the family cope and move on what happens to them ? theres too many characters and different stories lines to tie it all up so life goes on for them but not for us in the Soprano world ..

I loved the sopranos ending. Everything was pointing towards an all out war, all of his capts were shot or shot at, you saw tony in his safehouse with that carbine rifle. And then all you see is silence, no lie I thought 2 things when I saw that, 1. The sopranos got hacked by some fans (idk) 2. My cable company just saigoned me in jail.
But I have to say the goat ending is the seinfeld one. They brought back all the classic characters. And in lock up they argued about the same shit they argued about in the first episode

I feel like if you studied film then you should recognize that the Sopranos ending was not a cop out. its not like as if it was a dream and none of it was real and we all got cheated, there was mad shit going on in the story and mad symbolism in that diner scene. to me the cheap ending is a big shoot out or doing the obvious and murking Tony or putting him in jail. but that’s what audiences want, closure. most people want you to dictate to them what happens because god forbid they use their brains. it took way more balls to end that show the way they did than anything they could’ve possibly thought up.
furthermore there are several great films that end up in the air with no resolution.

how do you think The New Danger impacted after a classic like Black On Both Sides. what do you think of the Black Star album as a whole. and your thoughts on Tru3 Magic, k thx by
^^
I think The New Danger was what Mos wanted to do for himself. He put together a supergroup of the black people that originated rock music, his childhood heroes. Imagine if that was you fam, you’d say fuck what anyone else says, I’m making an album with my heroes as a child. The New Danger is not a hip-hop album. There are 4 hip-hop songs on that album of 18 joints. It is a classic in MUSIC. It is not HIP-HOP and people need to realize that!
Blackstar was exhibited some of Mos’ greatest works. Thieves in the Night could have been written by Maya Angelou and is the greatest social critique of black people in the West that I have heard. If Respiration was put in the papers as a lost Shakespere piece that was found, it would be hailed as the greatest piece of poetry of all time. “The new moon rode high in the crown of the metropilis…” And RE:Definition was the most flames ever spat in a verse ever. The album showcased Mos’s skills and this is why I have always felt sorry for Kweli who could not and cannot compete.
True Magic is Mos NOT TRYING! As you may know, Mos was approached by Jimmy Iovine when James Murdoch (News Corp. Owner Rupert Murdoch’s son). The mid-sized jew said he could make Mos the biggest star in the world. Mos said no. He is a shy person. The lyrics of the opening track, Tru3 Magic are AMAZING but his flow is very very sleepy. Undeniable, There Is A Way, Murder of a Teenage Life, A Ha etc. are heavy tunes but the best tunes are Fake Bonanza and Lifetime. Fake Bonanza is Thieves in the Night Part. 2 and Lifetime is musical beauty. He threw a brick with 1/3 of the content and the release as a FUCK YOU to Geffen and it worked. They made no money off him!
The Ecstatic will be out of this world.

Co-Fuckin sign on the ‘Thieves in The Night”. Might be my all-time favorite song. Which I later found out was the inspiration for that song. True story

Coincidentally, I had to read the book “The Bluest Eye” by Tony Morrison, for a class recently…and the chorus on “Thieves” is derived from the ending of that book. Which I later found out was the inspiration for that song. True story
^
The centerpiece of the album, “Thieves in the Night,” was inspired by author Toni Morrison’s novel The Bluest Eye. In the album’s liner notes, Kweli explains that the paragraph “struck me as one of the truest critiques of our society, and I read that in high school when I was 15 years old. I think it is especially true in the world of hip hop, because we get blinded by these illusions.” The excerpt interpolated in the song is as follows:
And fantasy it was, for we were not strong, only aggressive; we were not free, merely licensed; we were not compassionate, we were polite; not good but well-behaved. We courted death in order to call ourselves brave, and hid like thieves from life.
And the version on the track:
“ Not strong, only aggressive/Not free, we only licensed/Not compassionate, only polite (now who the nicest?)/Not good but well-behaved/Chasin’ after death so we could call ourselves brave, still livin’ like mental slaves/Hiding like thieves in the night from life/Illusions of oasis making you look twice. ”

@nation: a brief summary would be it’s pretty much about how the image of miss perfect white girl back in the 1940’s had a profound effect on the african-american community as well as white’s. It focuses on a little girl and her family, then this girl pecola (who is viewed as ugly by most standards). Pecola pretty much lives the shittiest life you can imagine. Everyone thinks she’s horridly ugly, her family is poor, her parents are abusive, her mom likes the white kids she is the nanny to more then she does her, then on top of that her dad rapes her and impregnates her…then the baby does not make it and she goes insane. that doesnt even begin to cover the whole story. Morrison won the pullitzer for it I believe…look it up if you wanna know more…”The Bluest Eye”.
My love for “Thieves in the night” grew even more (which I thought was impossible), when I heard that they got the hook from the book.

January 22nd, 2009 at 7:53 am
I watched the rap video on Bill O’reilly. As a white person, I’m sickened that those who can’t speak three consecutive words without cursing influence so many and spread their filthy thoughts. If Jay Z and others are the voice of blacks in America we don’t have a chance as a country. If the internet didn’t exist they wouldn’t have 3 fans each. When America crumbles because of the devisive hatred rappers like Jay Z spread, will he take part of the blame? Does this culture want to be part of making a better America or just keep spreading hate and ignorance. Show us!
January 22nd, 2009 at 9:02 am
As a White male, I dont see the big deal about the inauguration of barack obama yesterday. Everyone talks about racism and labeling your president “The first black president” is all well and good, but i think he should just be called “Mr. President”
January 22nd, 2009 at 9:20 am
Bill O Reilly should focus on politics, foreign affair, etc. He is smart but don’t mess with race, the ethics the new generation lives by. He is truly annoying and woud love to slap him up.
January 22nd, 2009 at 9:36 am
I have to say, Bill O’ Reilly might be right for once. Young Jeezy and Jay Z really showed ignorance in their performance…why use the N word now? Why give props to a terrorist that threw a shoe at our president? The problem with America is that we should all support this country whole-heartedly and not just when a Black man is in office…I do not co-sign their performance and your post Eskay makes me think you too are ignorant…Yes Bill O Reilly is an idiot but at least he’s backing our current president. No they didnt vote for him, but its patriotic to follow his lead now…during the campaign Barack was NOT president and therefore it was fair-game to attack him…he is now our leader and its no longer fair-game…
easy.

However, I guess its that ignorant shit you like…
January 22nd, 2009 at 9:54 am
Young Jeezy is classless. Its a shame this is how famous black figures use their influence. Jeezy is no more than an ignorant street hustler who has no knowledge of real politics. Jigga should know better, thats a fact. Ive never seen an influential white person use such terrible language about a wonderful thing. Jeezy and Jigga both took a huge L on this one. Black figures better take cues from Obama…he is a leader and know how to act like a man. I thought Jigga did, too but not so much anymore. We all knew that Jeezy has no positive qualities of a man, only negatives.

I hate to say it but Bill is right. We will never get anywhere with this type of discourse. “White lies” What!!! What about the Black ones??? I’m in the hood and all I can honestly say that I’m affected by Black lies the most. I say “Hey little bro, you doing good in school?” Of course he lies “Yeah man I’m doing good.” Tell me how he is doing well if he is suspended all the time and out here on the streets. Another brother bound to fail? - looks that way. These are the lies that count especially with the 50 percent graduation rate among Blacks here in Chicago. Maybe if Jay came up with King I could understand but please. The truth is These rappers will say anything to move the crowd. They don’t live this stuff. If they meant it why didn’t they put it on their albums. I got the Recession and Jay-Z’s albums and guess what??? Nada, none of this is on there and ya’ll know why. You think these cats care about Black more than money? This type of rap will be extinct someday just like the Klan. Tolerance is at an all time low. Jay and Young know that they had to dump this method of thinking in order to be successful; when are we going to realize we must do the same?

y do yall post this if this ignorance is only gonna make ppl mad? free speech. of course some1 will hate and have opinions.
January 22nd, 2009 at 2:03 pm
Never thought I’d hear myself say this but Bill actually has a point. I despise the way our country’s been run (read G W Bush’s administration) as much as anyone, but I think the best thing for Obama and his supporters (myself included although I voted for Ron Paul) to do right now is to be bigger people than those that supported the Bush regime. That means not alienating people with different opinions/incomes/skin color etc, but to be respectful to all. My main problem with Bush was his disregard for those that didn’t agree with him, by doing this (”fuck Bush”, “no more white lies” etc) you’re no better than Bush himself. As far as Bill’s “Bush succeeded in keeping this country safe” comment, holy god I’ve never heard a more obscenely false statement. 3,000 people were killed in a terrorist attack in OUR COUNTRY while mr. safety was in charge. Yea, real safe.

Sometimes you have to seperate the message from the messenger. I hardly ever agree with Bill O’Reilly, but today both him and Dennis Miller are right. Jay-Z (40) and Jeezy (30 something?) should be ashamed of themselves. Surely, surely, surely they can do better than that. And Dennis is right, with the rise of Barack, black role models and celebrities of the nature will swiftly become obsolete. No sane person wants to like Jay-Z, especially when he acts like a teenage crack baby (whilst in his forties) when you can be like Barack (who is also in his forties). Sometimes you just have to step your game up… elevate your G, show a little class and get your credit. Jay and Jeezy (I like both of them) need to realise the difference between growing old and growing up. America appears to be growing up whilst they’re just growing old. A shame.

O’Reilly should be dragged into the streets and shot to death in front of an angry mobb
“Dennis Miller should know better”

I think that Oreilly is correct in what he is saying. These 2 individuals should not have said something as ignorant as they did. But they did. And now someone needs to stand up to them and show that African Americans can be racist just as much as whites. Now you know if McCain would have won, and a white man stood up and said something remotely as ignorant as they said, they woul be labeled racist and the hip hop industry would turn over. I like their music, and have all albums. But I will not ever buy another cd of theirs, and I will not download them either. I am glad that someone stood up and said something about this. They are ignorant individuals who should be portrayed as what they truly are, RACIST. And to think, probably half of their record sales are from middle-aged white kids. And to think, they even used the N word on national tv, but if oreilly or any other white person were to say it, we would be labeled as a racist. Gotta love this country. Gotta love it.

I UNDERSTAND WHERE JAY-Z IS COMING FROM AND BILL O’REILLY. JAY-Z IS JUST TRYING TO RELATE TO HIS FANS THAT WERE AT THE CONCERT. BUT, BILL O’REILLY IS SAYING WHERE IS THE CORRECT WAY OF COMMUNICATING TO AN AUDIENCE WITHOUT ALL THE CURSE WORDS. ALL BILL O’REILLY IS SAYING IS OBAMA WILL NOT APPROVE THE MESSAGE GIVEN AT THE CONCERT. BY THE WAY DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHERE ALL THAT MONEY JAY-Z AND YOUNG JEEZY MADE AT THAT CONCERT GOES TOWARDS?

yo, Jeff R, eat a fucking dick. I should respect Bush? get the fuck outta here with that patriotic bullshit. I don’t subscribe to that fucking propaganda. I’d bet any amount of money you’re white right. because only white people and fucking coons are gonna sit there and try to tell me “oh, it’s not about Black and white anymore”. wake the fuck up out of your dreamworlds.
if any of you motherfuckers think I’m gonna stop saying “nigga” just because Obama is president, you’re out of your fucking mind. yeah, I post songs that contain ignorance, because that’s the fucking world we live in. you fucking idiots think everything is rose petals and bubble bath now because we have a Black president? please.
as for me stealing pictures, video, whatever, suck dick. you find me one artist, photographer or videographer who doesn’t want their content on my site and I will gladly remove it. the fact is, these people hit me everyday asking me to post their shit. if anybody has a problem with anything I put up, my fucking email address is right there at the top of the page.

why are these primates glorified and revered? rap and hip hop belong where they came from…prison.
this “music” (which it’s not) will be the downfall of both white and black not to mention the civilized world.
One only has to look at the lyrics to know that the decline of the western world has begun.
Soon the U.S. will be a toilet like all the other countries where the white man is villified.
Just look at history.
Yes, I voted for obama and I am already regretting it thanks to sub-humans like the two apes in the video.

benhameen,
if fox used your footage without permission, it’s copyright infringement. you should sue the hell out of them. as the cameraperson, you own a copyright in that footage from the moment you shot it.

“Why give props to a terrorist that threw a shoe at our president? ”
^ ^ LOL @ someone thinking throwing a shoe makes someone a terrorist. what’s next, maybe someone who litters near the white house will get called a terrorist? you might want to look up “terrorist” in the dictionary. bush was commander in chief when iraq was totally devastated…not just military targets, but targets filled with civilians like water treatment facilities and electrical plants were bombed during the initial bombing in 2003. those ARE terrorist strikes, because what else do you call it when you blow up buildings filled with civilians? the hilarious thing is the news portrayed these strikes as a blow to the iraqi military, but what military on earth relies on *tap water*? those were attacks on civilian targets of utility facilities that service *civilians*. pure terrorism. and years later, many of these things have not been rebuilt to pre-war levels, which is absurd considering how much we have spent in tax dollars over there.
