just got back from Notorious… i thought it was ill.
but i was kinda disappointed that they didnt put things in context a bit more. i mean, i know its his movie but they made it seem like BIG was the only nigga reppin’ for NY during the time. even Danny Elfman [who i was surprised did the music. i thought niggas was lying] didnt really expand the music far beyond BIG’s catalog. there was some Black Moon and shit but no Nas, just a lil Jay, no Wu…
but one thing that blew my mind…

Yo if that “Can’t Stop Me” shit is any indication of what Kiss’ album is going to be like well then i’m not getting my hopes up. I mean it isn’t a wack song but it sure isn’t album cut material IMO. Like someone said before where’s the Paniro feature? Where’s the H-O feature? I mean niggas can’t blame me for coming off like a disgruntled fan but i mean it’s been a long time since kiss dropped, so pardon me for expecting certain things that IMO would of made a bigger splash. Now who knows i may think it’s crazy but just the sight of Pharrells name and some of the song titles, i’m not to intruiged. We will see.

the other day you told me to fuck off(jokingly) when I said Jada’s last two tracks were shit nuggets. I really don’t think Jada is capable of making a great album start to finish. With no classic albums he’s can’t be top 5 D.O.A., and he’s barely top 10. He’s good for a hot 16 here and there, a mixtape once a blue moon and thats about it. He’s had 5 years to make a flawless album and so far its anything but.

I dont understand the praise for Jada…no offense D-block. I mean there’s no doubt that he’s ill…but imo you have to make ill albums to be considered one of the greats, and he has yet to make a great album. Some good ones, but nothing near great imo. I would put him in my top 20, and maybe even my top 15 but I dont see how people can be puttin him in a top 5…but I guess its all personal opinions. All that said I hope Kiss of Death is off the chain cuz Jada is one of the best in the game

Abandoned Nation was real nice & Best of Saigon AKA Yardfather Vol.1 from 02/03 was fucking dope (as was vol.2). Those three are the best ish. Also done a Gangsta Grillz and a Clinton Sparks tapes but they were meh. Check for Warning Shots which is a decent mix of Sai’s “street classics & freestyles” ala 50′s Guess Who’s Back”
