Curtis - Nigga I’ll Hurt You

Who’s keeping count?
Curtis - Nigga I’ll Hurt You (CDQ/No DJ/Dirty)
Bonus: Curtis - Nigga I’ll Hurt You (Funkmaster Flex Radio Rip)
Splash doesn’t want any of us young heads praising Jaz-O’s handwork [||] and calling this a “Ain’t No Nigga” freestyle. This is over Tha Alkaholiks’ “Only When I’m Drunk”.
And once again, here’s the tagless version “In God We Trust” from the Blood On The Sand video game.
Previously: Curtis - Heartless Monster

No matter what ninjas say, these are the type of tracks on the pre-GRODT mixtapes that completely changed the game:
harmonious hooks
hard rhymes over mellow beats
incessant shit-talkin’ at the end
Sounds like he’s back on that bullshit. This is what the old fans have been asking for. He’s obviously listening.
*plays track again*

because he has no choice
these shits sound like pre-grodt because that’s the only thing that works, not cause he woke up one morning thinking he was gonna *1999 it up*

>>because he has no choice
^I’ve been sayin’ that since “Curtis” dropped. And I knew he still had it in him when Sabrina’s Baby Boy dropped.
>>these shits sound like pre-grodt because that’s the only thing that works, not cause he woke up one morning thinking he was gonna *1999 it up*
^The other stuff worked for him which is how he was able to achieve crossover success. But it has become redundant and boring. It’s not what “made” him. Eventually you gotta come back to the essence of what put you in that position if you plan to maintain success.
Somebody should email/fax/txt msg/Tweet that memo to Camel. ASAP

Yep, good shit too.

of course he still has it in him [||]. but it’s not like he’s tapping into some enchanted energy… he needs to stop gaying it up with Dre’s ghostproducers, take a few grimey instrumentals and take out that pen and pad. put down the guns you don’t have and the other shit you talk about but can’t afford to actually associate yourself to outside of rhymes and keep it real.
if keeping it real before was guns, cool. if keeping it real right now is talking shit about other people, fuck it, do that. make a whole track that’s basically ad libs. that shit’ll be >>>> Get Up
and yeah, Candy Shop worked but like i been saying about Jay… 50 Cent needs to have street cred, just a little bit, to sell girl songs. believe it or not, that makes more sense than you bammas saying THE STREETS DON’T FUCK WITH KANYE. it’s the same reason why Jay still drops albums. he can’t be the hip hop diplomat if he’s not rapping. that’s why he came outta retirement, he was caking but his pass needed a replacement.
believe it or not. whatever, 50 is garbage. his time is over (no hater). a lot these rappers that are dear to your hearts are on their last leg
i’m going to sleep, good mourning

he needs to realise that the crossover appeal of his generic club shit is all but over and instead focus on tuff shit and actually rhyminagain. This is a step in the rght direction. Cats forget that 50 really rhymed once apon a time, not the most complex stuff, but dude has always been witty and convincing wit his delivery

I’m checking for a new Curtis album like I’m looking for another Lil Cease LP. *smh*
January 9th, 2009 at 7:26 am
The Liks part is a joke right?
This beat is obviously not “Only When I’m Drunk”.
January 9th, 2009 at 8:40 am

January 9th, 2009 at 9:20 am
nation u brought up some good points, and this is coming from somebod y who was a very big 50 and g-unit fan pre interscope days..but i mean i think he can pull this album off possibly and after that i wouldn’t be surprised if he just falls back from making anymore solo albums…
January 9th, 2009 at 9:27 am
His stage name is 50 Cent, not Curtis.
January 9th, 2009 at 10:06 am

if he released an album of grimy beats like this and heartless monster, I’d actually buy it. too bad he only does this right before an official album is supposed to drop. 1. fire mixtape cuts 2. album drops 3. album sucks 4. silence for a while till the next album
remember the g-unit mixtapes before TOS? they were fire.. then TOS drops - weak beats, weak concepts…
