Let’s set this shit straight once and for all on the upcoming artists of ’09.
Blu – This kid is wise and collected. I feel like from listening to him for a bit that he obviously has most of his life’s priorities in the correct order. I think that Blu is probably going to be one of the most underrated lyricists that we will see for a long time. This kid is no sheep.
BOB and Ash are wholesome, humble, legit artists that care more about their music and music in general than the rest of these so called “music artists” that have created absolute garbage and made an embarrassment to what used to be music/hiphop. they will help music and hip hop progress into a much more positive and intelligent spectrum . I’m very pleased to see artists like these on their way up.
I do not agree with speaking negatively about people. My opinion on Wale is that he is overrated as a hip hop artist. his content does not contribute one ounce of wisdom to listeners and does not represent positivity. if anything he is still promoting ignorance among the people or sheep-le of the world. Flow and delivery are important, but it is your content that will make your music last.
Charles Hamilton’s mind and intellect is still very immature. I see great potential for this kid. He has a ton to say and unfortunately cannot hold back. The majority of his music is expressed in a negative and “whine-y” tone. He speaks only of negative. Granted, he has had a rough past, much worse than a lot of people but it does not excuse him from making music for the right reasons. I think that if Charles had a good mentor that would shine some light on what is really important in life, his message as a music artist would be much more respected. He also spends far too much time reading and commenting about what people think about him on the internet.
All the rest are not worth mentioning.
