6th Sense feat. The Kid Daytona, Outasight & Harlem’s Cash – 2-0-0-9

These four gentlemen tackle remaking Common & Sadat X’s classic “1-9-9-9″, which featured Talib Kweli, 10 years later.

no seriously tho, they are fighting over land. The reason why the conflict was ignited was because they failed to extend the cease fire they both agreed upon after they agreed to negotiate the ownership of certain land that hamas wants jews out of. Hamas fired upon them out of anger and Israel went in their asses and started bombing just about everything. Picture you in the bathroom and you’re pissing on that peice of toilet tissue that was in the water and you just flood that bitch and sink it.

A rapper beat selection should determine his goat status cause he don’t make the beat word to nas.

^^
Beat selection should definetly be part of making the determination of who’s a GOAT. Not to state the obvious, but hiphop is music, what you choose to rap over and how it suits your stylings has an effect on how potent your product is. If only the rhymes mattered, the shit might as well be spoken word.

It should be considered, unfair as it may seem. Good to great beats can take your lyrics to the next level, create the appropriate ambiance, and cover up for your imperfections. 99% percent of the time, the first thing you hear is the beat. Without it, why the fuck are you rapping?
January 4th, 2009 at 11:53 pm

Nah, it’s definetly Nas if we’re talking about the greats.
Jay was the best beat selector until KC. It’s not simply about rappin over the dopest beats, it’s about which best suits you and how well you own it. Snoop and Busta pick insane beats but alot of them I’d rather hear other niggas rapping over.
BIG was pretty flawles.

That album’s production and sequencing were flawless. Too bad Puff was the artist. Even he coudnt fuck up most of those songs tho.
Puff’s mediocre rapping in ’97 > Diddy’s rapping the past 8 years

Nas rrapped on 2 of the hottest beats in the past 3 yrs too bad it wasn’t his song. Kayne late registration and diddy press play.I’m suprised more rappers didn’t tap john brion for production after late registration. Maybe they did he just wouldn’t work with anybody.

Untitle didn’t have that many bad beat imo. Beat on america and nigger fit the lyrics of those songs. Hero was one of the best beats of 08. But nas should let kanye produce and whole album. Kanye soulful beats + nas lyrics=classic album.
