   nah i mean overall without being bias jay just did it better than everyone, he had everyone jocking his style, gunning to be like him, hes got a couple classics under his belt, bunch of #1 records, business within hiphop…ill give it to jay in my opinion, but nas will always be a better mc in my opinion also

I think DJ just kept putting out LL’s records, on some ol’ “fuck it, we already paid him, might as well see if we can get some of our investment back” ish…I guess the same argument can be made for Rakim, but fuck you (none), lol…

   LOL, yo as I was reading that I was thinking, “but you can say the same thing about Rakim.” Or Slick Rick, or KRS, or G Rap, or Kane. In fact, L stayed relevant to hiphop at large a lot longer than any of them did and he dropped his debut at least 2 years before.

    jay-z IS the best mover of crowds/master of ceremonies (i.e. Glastonbury) of all time.

    you could argue whether he is the best rapper or not…..

    but for MCing by definition….he the best.

    in terms of lyricism…

    LL just doesn’t do it like Ra did…

    but in terms of longevity and hits/singels and all that shabang, LL > Ra
