Whaaat? Plies is an official R&B singer? He rapped the verses, Ne-Yo sung the hook. That’s like saying One More Chance is an R&B song. I wasnt saying that Whatever you Like was an R&B song, I was saying that Bust it Baby really isnt and that if you consider it one, then you have to consider Whatever You Like one
^^^
You drunk? Im obviously referring to Ne-Yo. I didn’t say it was an official R & B song but its in that department because Ne-yo sang the hook. Your comparing hooks and saying Tip is singing which is just foolish. There is no way shape of form “What ever you like” is in the vicinity of being a R & B song but there can an argument can be made for Bust it Baby.

Of course you were referring to Ne-Yo, I just didnt understand why. So, every hiphop song with a sung hook is a potential R&B song? Sugar Hill? Lost Ones? Now, you’re reaching. I never compared the hooks, just compared the songs. If you think an argument can be made for Bust it baby as an r&b song, but not whatever you like, we can agree to disagree, but I personally think that’s an extreme logic fail. My point is two fold, neither is a hiphop song of the year contender and neither is R&B.

Don’t we? Gangsta rap, trap rap, backback rap, hipster rap, commercial rap, underground rap…
It’s not that hiphop doesnt have sub-genres, it’s that no two people can agree on which artists belongs in each.

^^^
You said Tip was singing which we would then obviously be comparing hooks. For the record i said in a certain repsect it is a contender for song of the year (BIB) but it may also be in the R & B department. So technically im split on this as well…..(no)
but I personally think that’s an extreme logic fail.
^^^
I never said that if an R & B singer is singing on the hook that its a flat out R & B song, it depends on the nature of the song. Failure to recognize logic failure fail.

You never said that. You claimed that Whatever you like was a contender for SOTY solely because it was a huge hit. I said by that logic Bust It Baby is also a contender. You said Bust It Baby was more of a R&B song. I said if Bust it baby is then whatever you like is too. You said that Bust It Baby was and Whatever wasnt because of the sung hook, giving no other reasons.

Someone thought that it was a good idea to open a subway in my hood right next to the corner bodega where we get the $3.50 heroes from with a free soda. I guess they thought that they were gonna cut into their business, but who is gonna pay at least $5 for a sandwich with less meat (paws), thinner bread and no free soda…
