I don’t think Life After Death was flawless. There’s some amazing tracks on it, but there are a few skippers.

^The only thing on that album that was worth skipping is bone-thugs verses on notorious thugs. Aside from that, every single syllable on that album was picture perfect.

Naw, I think Jay’s shit is cemented. If he keeps making rehashed albums and spitting just above mediocre guest appearance verses (like he’s been doing the past 3 or 4 years), his status is good. He reigned over hiphop during its most prosperous time after the death of his two biggest stars. His GOAT status is just as much based on him emerging at the exact right time as it does his actual talent.

IHO, Back to Cali is the biggest filler on the album, not because it was wack, but the nature of it was too timely. Another hasnt held up great either, but its not wack by any means.

I didn’t think it would be a good album and after the first listen, I wasn’t impressed. THen me and my son’s mom got into an argument, and the album became a favorite of mine. Haven’t stopped listening to it since.
