Here’s the thing about Wale and the DC Metro area. When he first came out, dudes refused to ride with dude because he ain’t your typical Metro Area cat. Look at him lol…plus, people were getting on him because he’s allegedly from Montgomery County but reps DC and that’s a touchy thing (SMH).
But because he’s the only thing coming out of the Area that really has a shot to put DC on the map, dudes are silently supporting Wale.
I can’t even tell you how many people thought “Nike Boots” was a falsehood coming from Wale because people didn’t perceive him as the Nike Boots/Northface/Black socks/Go-Go bopping type.
