   i hate trying to participate in Thanksgiving activities, when i have so much disdain for the origin of the so-called “holiday” … and it always backfires on me … last night i get super spiritual and sentimental and set a plate of food and eating utensils for my departed mother … everything was all good, until we were clearing the table and i cleared her plate and pulled her chair out to clean up … i suddenly burst into tears (c) Florida Evans, in front of my sister & wifey, who in turn also lost it … the spirit world is no joke … love your loved ones while you can, and overlook their imperfections … the next time you see them could be the last …

   I do like the that third verse on this song, specially the way he channeled Ghost’s delivery. Elzhi held this beat down.

   ^Mannn, I stay trying to disconnect myself from so many spiritual things because I think about that too often. That’s one of the reasons me and my pops never did the sentimental stuff too much. I love our relationship, but I can do without the proverbial Father-Son hugs out of the blue, and such. It’s too much.

    The thing with me is I don’t talk to much of my dad side of the family. I don’t hate these people don’t wish harm on them. But I figure I don’t need the stress that talking to them brings so I won’t say I don’t forgive. I’ll just say I cut people of but hold no bad feeling toward them

    CF: to their credit, these three are as good as it gets for the D. problem is, the original had three masters on it plus memorable verses so their effort gets overlooked

    me on another hand I just can’t sit back a watch somebody constantly playing the person I love the most.

    ^ yea moms dukes had a way of hiding pops infidelity issues from us as kids. from the inside looking out, wouldnt of guessed pops as a ladies man. When I got older is when all the pieces came together, but by that time I understood what his challenges were and couldnt fault him.
