Like I said, KanYe is doing his thing . . . but some of the accolades of are a bit overblown. The Love Lockdown performance was cool, but if I’m going to pay money to hear some one sing? I’ll check out Lelah Hathaway.
If I’ll throw down money to hear some one rap, I’ll check Redman, KRS-1, Ghostface, Homeboy Sandman, Cypress Hill, etc. I know Kanye puts a serious effort towards his shows but personally I think Busta + Spliff is crazier than any KanYe electric-magnetic light show.
He may get major media love but that doesn’t place him on the top. Conceding the best Hip Hop Artist award to Lil Wayne reveals his self awareness and ultimately how he sees where he truly stands.
In the end, you can ignore half the bullsh*t I said, but lil homey just can’t sing. He’s not doing “Hey Ya” nor is he competing against “Crazy.” Phenomenal popular records.

I’d say that if a hiphop artist of Ye’s or Andre’s caliber goes left and makes material that doesnt contain a lot of rapping, their history and status as elite hiphop artists make the “exception” logical. I mean, Es would be wrong for posting a new Trey Songz joint, but even on Autotue and depressed, Kanye’s still a hiphop artist. And because of that, I think it makes sense to post the 808′s shit, because being who he is, hiphop fans are going to have something to say about it. But I overstand your point, I just think that there are expceptions to the “no R&B” rule around here, and I would say that a sung joint by Kanye (or 3K, or Lauryn, or Ghost, etc) fits that bill.

Oh, I definitely got the Andis on deck. But I still can’t perfect my goatee. It never evens out the way I want it to. For instance, the last time I went to the shop my manz laced me with the Teddy Riley joint, goatee was connecting PERFECTLY with the thin lines. But he also used a razor.
