Video: Keith Murray Speaks on Laptop Robbery

Murray talks about his style and influences, and speaks on his trip to South Africa. He also explains how he got robbed for his money and laptop when gunmen ran up in the studio he was working in with Zola 7 and Brenda Fassie’s son Bongz.

It’s ill how when somebody gets robbed and the news gets out, people tend to make assumptions like, “oh, so-and-so got caught slipping” “or he’s not a G” or whatever. But Then you hear Keith tell his side of it, and you get a much clearer understanding of how he found himself far away from home in a situation he couldn’t do shit about.

That matching jeans and jacket look with the hoodie, was that 90s or early 00s?

Pause on asking other men for fashion tips.

  6. PHENOMENON Says:

I remember when I was just a lad.

I used to rock the Bugle Boy’s with Cherokee or Guess striped tee’s with the BK Ratchets and a bottle cap for a hat.

^How? The Roots are cool, but their peak has came and went. Yes, a live hip-hip band was an innovative idea but the music was getting redundant, imo. And though Tariq’s bars were tough, his flow was stuck in the 90′s. I think this new surge of hip hop is gonna hold down the new generation just fine. PLUS, just because they are exiting from the scene doesn’t mean a new hiphop band won’t come along and take their place. If anything, they opened the door for other bands to arrive with their own sound and style.

off the top of my head, beans, fif, free, etc etc etc

imo tho the real hatred will come later when yeezy has to shed all the dudes that have been hanging off of his nuts trying to eat off of GOOD music

at least with lupe the talentless folks on his label have been down with him and chilly chill forever, since the 90s

with yeezy he’s got a stable of sub-par artists that will never sell more than 50k plus mad management and other assorted yes-men

take someone like big sean, yeezy has been paying his bills for at least 2 years now and i don’t think anyone has any illusions as to whether this dude can be a star. the answer is no. “intro” and “billionaire” were both hot, don’t get me wrong, but he has no big star potential

look for those cats to hate on yeezy real, real hard [||] when they don’t all get release dates until maybe 2010 (if that)

just like there’s a cottage industry of folks talking shots at jigga, look for the same thing to happen to yeezy in the next 2 years. the hatred has been somewhat contained so far but trust that gloves will come off. even cons will get at dude, mark my word
