SOUTH PHILADELPHIA – November 14, 2008 (WPVI) — A crook made off with $700,000 dollars after holding up an armored car in South Philadelphia Friday morning.
It happened at the intersection of Randolph and Oregon around 9 a.m.
The driver was making a delivery at Whitman Check Cashing when the holdup occurred.

The driver wasn’t hurt and was talking with police after the incident.
Police are searching for a man who stands about 6′ 2″ tall. That is the only description they have so far.
