I was just sayin ealier that he kind of killed that shit. If he can steal that song for his album, like he stole “Pop Champagne”, then the hobo is officially the most releveant mainstream NY MC. And yeah, it really does pain me to say that.
And, again, super late pass, but “Day And Nite” is a serious contender for hiphop song of the year.

^Definitely a Cell Block P fan. He was a contender for top 5 releases of ’07 with ROTM. Me and Plug were probably the only Nahggers that ranked it so highly. Even though it was technically a mixtape, but I put it right under MM3 (also a mixtape). If I wanted to rank it as an album (since technically everything was original), then it was definitely ranked around 4 or 5 for me. That joint got played in my whip all day on the way to school. Curtis is smart. I’m convinced that the beef had less to do with personal problems than it did with Fif realizing that Ja was on to something and that he needed to end his career so he could be the only cat in that particular lane. He knew that his story and persona would sell those type of songs even better than Ja. Just my theory.

^This is perfect segue into how I think I possibly took 2 unpredictable L’s on Sat. night at Babalu’s (wasn’t gonna bring it up, but fuck it). So I went harder than a Arabic algebra test (while feelin’ “nice” of course) and holla’d at this white chick that just happen to stand next to me at the bar with the homies (while one ‘em tried to get me to pay for a drink that I aint ask for, FOH… whole ‘nother story). So I turn to her and say, “what you drinkin’?” She told me but I wasn’t payin’ attention. So I’m like yeah, order 2 of ‘em (thinkin’ I was smoove enough to get her to buy them shits). So while we waitin’ for the shots, I find out she and her friend are hood, because a.) she go to Dundalk Community College, takes Nursing, and has 2 kids, b.) her friend pulled her own sugar out of her purse while waiting for the lemon shots, c.) she from Dundalk (or probably Essex, either way, nothin’ but hood white people). The drinks come, I end up payin’ for both… she took my #… went to the bathroom and said she wanna meet me on the dance floor. I see her… walk to her… throws her arms around my neck, and was like, “is that ya boy over there?”… I’m like, nah, that’s one of the homies of my manz (who was from Da Bricks and brought some hood ass Eastside nigga with him… with golds in his mouth… at Babalus… smh). So she’s like, “oh, because he was all over me like he was tryin’ to rape me.” I just laughed it off but I was dyin’ on the inside. So eventually she skated off with her homegirl after the harrassment continued. No call from her yet (yeah, I have a 24 hour rule, I’m impatient/egotistical like that). That’s L number one. One.

I never bought or bumped a Ja Rule song. Never…
I’m glad 50 Cent obliterated him and his career.

LOL at the story. Shit hits so close to home. Essex chicks and Dundalk chicks are notorious black cock loving/redneck/cokeheads. If your man would have fell back, the whole crew prolly could have got topped off that nite. But over-aggressiveness makes them remember their racist upbringing, which in turns leads to apprehesion.
