at the end of the day, you may not like what Kanye is producing, compared to his older stuff especially (not even sure if you are/were a Ye fan).. but when people say reinventing it’s not talking about trying to change the genre, just your interpretation of it. If an artist gets a fan base for a certain reason, THEY WILL LOSE if they don’t at least add on to what makes them them.
Why Outkast is so dope is they keep they’re essence while COMPLETELY changing their sound from album to album… (no two albums really sound alike). I give Kanye an E for effort on this one.. and I, too, am not as moved by the current stuff, I still applaud him because he’s willing to go out on a limb. Maybe this is his “Nastradamus” or “Electric Circus” and the limb will break and he’ll get back to basics…. maybe that’s necessary for a true artist to be able to bring freshness to the game and to their own catalogue.

Prosecutors filed a signed statement in court in which Jeromie Cancel admits killing 19-year-old Kevin Pravia last month. But Cancel pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder at his arraignment Wednesday.
Police have said Cancel went to Pravia’s Manhattan apartment after Pravia approached him looking for drugs.
The statement says Cancel was leaving but had nowhere to go. It says, “I was bored, so I decided to go back into the apartment and kill him.”
Cancel’s statement says he killed Pravia by stuffing a plastic bag in his mouth while holding his nose and choking him with a cord around his neck.
