    Naw, War Report is one of the best NY hiphop albums ever, and NORE was borderline classic, if not outright. He hasnt been a dope rapper going on 10 years now (Jesus, typing that made me feel old), but those two albums, along with the Reunion and all of his pre-98 freestyles/guest appearances, and a handful of dope songs in the past couple of years will prevent him from ever having to hold that title.

    ^Yeah. I didn’t really like the 2nd one, but the smoking song was ill, & the 3rd album had some crazy production & like 5 jay-Z guest spots, I didn’t hear 456 tho.

    then listen to anything recent

    How about Mims? Or Maino?
    The War Report is one of the most official NY hiphop albums!!!! It holds its own amongst “Reasonable Doubt”, “Illmatic” and “Only Built For Cuban Links”. And Tragedy did not write Nore’s lyrics, and he proved it with “N.O.R.E.” which is another classic on its own. Nore just gets lazy and doesn’t feel like rhyming like he should, like we know he can.
