    there must be a real sellout editing the comments at xxlmag.com (i left a comment refuting some ignoramus’ claim that geronimo pratt and assata shakur were ‘gangstas’, providing historical evidence of their innocence, and my comment never appeared…a few other mindless thug life inspired rants did appear however…i tried to repost the following, let’s see if it shows up:

    geronimo pratt was not a ‘gangster’, he was a community organizer. he was also not a killer, he was innocent of the charges levied against him and was exonerated 27 years later (the FBI had conclusive proof of his innocence that they withheld from his defense team). Assata likewise was guilty of nothing and did not shoot a state trooper (evidence at her trial showed that SHE was the one who was shot, in the armpit, and that it was biologically impossible for her to raise her arm and fire back after receiving such an injury). My last comment refuting all of this never appeared, but I must continue to try to set the record straight (nor does Pac being beaten by police officers make him anything other than a victim of white supremacy, not a ‘gangster’, the FBI agents who destroyed his entire family were the American gangsters in question, not Mutulu, Geronimo or Assata.

    ^ ^ 12,000 first week is horrible for anyone on a major label. i like murs a lot, but let’s be real. LOL @ saying 100,000 would be good for LL in this “crisis time” but saying Nelly (who already sold OVER 100k) has flopped. I’m not a Nelly fan or anything, but the fact that he can outsell the guy who is basically his prototype has to count for something (especially LL is as well known as Nelly, sales be damned, dude has had platinum records for going on 20 years now and successful records as far back as the mid-80′s…85, specifically).

    it’s a cheap’s album productions. for an underground artist like him.
    nothing more. i know that is really bad for a major deal with 12k first week but just when the rapper is mainstream. so for Murs it’s not bad, in this crisis’ time.
