***I don’t know…hip hop wise, a lot of acts in this area try to mimick another region’s sound (especially the south), which comes across as an identity crisis, IMO..what makes Wale distinctive is that he’s thoroughly DMV- from the accent, to the slang, to the use of go-go style accompaniments, he’s his own artist, at least for now, he is….
