^no-sign. Sonic may be more lyrical than 98% of MCs ever, but there’s often an unassuming feel to his stuff that makes it less imposing and powerful than a bruiser like Curtis. And I’m no big fan of 50’s; I just think Get Rich is a great album as much because of him as the beats, and, also, it was a different time.
That said, when CH drops an retail album and it’s bananas on some Lupe/Andre/Pharcyde steez, he’s moving up.
