ABOUT J5: 11TH ANNIVERSARY DELUXE RE-ISSUE:
This 11th Anniversary Deluxe Re-Issue features Jurassic 5’s original breakthrough album in its entirety, 15 unreleased J5 tracks, and the first ever Jurassic 5 DVD. Directed by Decon’s Jason Goldwatch, “The Jurassic Period” documentary shows this seminal group at the beginning of an era that would be marked by their important contribution to hip-hop. If pac ruined hip hop then we should thank him, w/ pac & big still around, numerous artist would’ve never got there shot
Cam
Jay
DMX
Canibus
Ma$e
The lox
Sauce
pun
nore
The list goes on, if pac & big was still around alot of niggas wouldn’t of been able to shine fully because pac & big was still the main niggas, with them gone, it left a vacent seat for niggas to fight over, & fans was looking for the next nigga, so b-list rappers got more fans because of it.
And you forgot to add snoop on that like, from the chronic to after doggystyle (n/h)

@joe, good point about their deaths opening the door. Can’t argue with that. Snoop was going to be in 6-10.

@ joe
i’m sure some of those guys would have made it pac and big lived. not all, but i’d say at least half. nothing is stopping the garbage thats floatin’ around today. can’t see why it would be different back then.

With that said, I think you’re reaching with a lot of the MC’s you put on there, but I overstand your overall point.

^I disagree. Jay was gonna get his shine regardless. It may not have been as big as it is now, but he would have definitely made his mark just as strong as big, pac and nas.
The Lox would have been a much better group too if big was still here, cuz he would have been able to tell puff to fall back some and let them little niggas do their thing. Then they wouldn’t have had to go to RR in order to be themselves. THey could have stayed on bad boy and caked up way more than they are now.
And Pun would have made everyone respect him. He was too nice to be denied. Period.

^lmao.. but not his solo joints? on the real.. dogg food is a west coast classic. i still listen to it, but i dont think it gets much play outside of LA
