Chris’s mixtape game doesn’t compare to Fab’s mixtape game.
Fab would destroy Chris on a lyrical battle.
Not even close, a landslide.

Young Chris releases an album right now. He moves 16,000 his first week. Tread mill status word to Biggavelli
Young Chris went platinum and gold in a era when downloading, limewire didn’t affect the game as much as it does now.

By the way “popularity” IMO doesnt determine whether one artist is better then another, we all know that having skills doesnt guarantee you records sold……(i.e. Nelly was more popular then Fab at one point but did that mean that hes was better) NOPE!

^Truth, but Chris is still a better all-around MC. Just not as popular. Fab’s monotone flow and Down-syndrome vernacular somehow resonates with youth so he wins. He still got some hot 16’s though.

^Who cares? Fab aint making no music like “never die” and aint make no shit like that his whole career, maybe except the shit of his first album. All those punchlines are cool, but if a rapper can bring you into his world with words, he won. Fab never did that for me so
Young Chris > Fab

Fab can’t make an album to save his life. He should just do 16′s on guest features and mixtape albums for the remainder of his career.

^Here we go we this goofy ass logic. This is how half of the debates on here get started unnecessarily, because you ASSume that we are implying that we’re hating on punchlines. We’re giving the nigga his props as a punchline MC, but that’s where the love stops. Chris is a more versatile MC with CONTENT.

Torae is killing em!
September 29th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
Imma try to break it down for you ninjas. If you ask me “Never Die” by Young Chris is a rare gem nowadays. That track is so soulfull, so real, and so hip-hop. Young Chris is a lyricist. Fabolous is a lyricist too, but lately Fab been on that down south shit a little too much. Fabolous to me used to be one of NY’s top lyricist but he dropped the ball on Real Talk. Ghetto Fabolous, and Street Dreams 1 & 2 were straight up gritty NY albums with some fun tracks, and tracks for the ladies. Right now to me YToung Chris still has that hunger and that real music. Fab ain’t hungry no more. He’s just a punchline rapper. he still got the smooth flow, but that killer instinct aint there no more. As of 2005 Young Chris > Fabolous…..Before 2005 Young Chris
September 29th, 2008 at 4:26 pm
Another thing….so what if Fabolous is a star and internationally know & Young Chris aint? Does that make Fabolous better than Young Chris? If it does you need to stop listenin to music period. That should never be a factor when you talkin about a better emcee PERIOD Fabolous got a smooth flow with nice word play & metaphors, but he’s out of touch. All he rappin about is girls, cash, cars & how good HIS life is. Young Chris IS IN TOUCH with whats goin on. He keeps it real. He makes good music and he got good metaphors & wordplay too. I guess it’s just a matter of material when it comes down to these too. If you ask me Fabolous has way better freestyles & track appearances then Young Chris. When it comes to original material Young Chris got it. Face it. Nowadays a Fabolous album is all brag & joints for the ladies, and all you dudes sayin a ninja got more swagger than so & so need to check yourselves. How you checkin another man’s swag?
September 29th, 2008 at 4:48 pm
