Will there ever be a time when new music isnt judge or compared to older music? Just wondering, cause I do it myself when I hear some new shit, maybe it’s because we’re getting older?

I keep thinking if a lot of old music were to come out today instead would we still say they’re classics and would we still like them the way we do….like when and why did it change…..or like u said we’re getting older.

***I don’t think so- I mean, most music these days is blatanty influenced by another era, and sometimes paying homage to another artist manifests itself in a manner which verges on impersonation…I’ll tell you one thing, though, when Lauryn Hill first came out, I was at a loss for words to compare her to anybody, even though she re-made a Roberta Flack record…
