Ice Cube should be saluted for being a man of his wealth & stature, still making the kinda music he’s making
Its quite amazing
***At one point, Ice Cube was a serious contender for G.O.A.T….pre Westside Connection, pre “yay-e’yay e” yellin’ Cube was a beast, not that WSC was doo doo, but still- “Raw Footage” has its moments, but it’s not what I expected it to be- for some reason, I really want for Cube an Killer Mike to collaborate for a full album- that “Worst Day” jawn was the shit, so was “Pressure”
>N0sign, and kiss killed him on the “Kiss of Death” Remix and im gonna dig up the Hi Hater remix now…..
^You don’t think T.I killed that “grand finale” track? He definently didn’t get killed on it, the “kiss of death” shit was a mash up so that don’t count, but T.I & cube bodied that “grand….” joint, hands down
Ice Cube should be saluted for being a man of his wealth & stature, still making the kinda music he’s making

^he’s a grown man with wife and children and he’s still making songs about clubbin and gangbanging and pussy. Instead he should be empowering the youth. ^I stand corrected, anyway i’m listening to the “grand finale” & yea kiss killed it, but he killed it in typical kiss fashion, “ducking the law, got bundles of piff, yellow diamonds in the bezzie” you know regular kiss, but T.I killed it in a more aggresive way, i’d say the song went

I’ll be honest, a lot of times I can do without his singing, but some joints it just feels right. Aside from that, the kid can spit like a motherfucker. His flow and lyrics are bonkers. I know a lot of dudes will say I’m nuts be he has flow that’s real close to Pac. A lot of the shit that gets exposure on blogs like NahRight really don’t showcase his talent. You’d have to download like 2 or 3 of his mixtapes to really get a feel for what he can do.
video editing fail. when he signals the cameraman towards the other car (i.e. away from the goons sitting on the stoop, that rolled up earlier), that was the part we weren’t supposed to see
September 25th, 2008 at 10:35 am
I was reading that one of the filming roles that Cube did not take and regret today is playing O’Dawg in Menace.
***He woulda been even worse than Pac woulda been- no shots at either, because they are/were dope actors, respectively, but Larenz Tate was cast perfectly in that role…
ut he killed it in typical kiss fashion,
^^^^
Yea i was slighty bias when giving my rating because with his flow alone he qualifies for having the best verse but bar for bar you might have a point….but kiss does kill it tho….

^and I guess if you can look in the mirror at the end of the day and be good with yourself then so be it.
Its just the music business itself is just as conflicting as ever. the word should be an oxymoron. Art itself should be an extension of you and you shouldnt have to compromise it. But the business of it all forces you to. And you listed Nas in the same breath as Pac and Cube. What was the last video when Nas had women shaking their asses. oochy Wally?
i think dudes just like him cuz they think he’s a cool guy.
^Naw, max is nice, & he has a good sence of what sounds right, like a good basketball player has good “offensive awareness” they just know where to be, max just knows what sounds right, & I haven’t heard a wack chorus from max, ever.
>I did 3 years in Rikers, so if you want me to break your bitch ass in holla at me!
The same applies to LL, he thought by putting his kids in his video stifled the message that was being put out. Not so, it just made him able to sleep at night.
I have 7% body fat duke, I don’t give a fuck about that chart!

I’ll be honest, a lot of times I can do without his singing, but some joints it just feels right. Aside from that, the kid can spit like a motherfucker. His flow and lyrics are bonkers. He’d surpassed any up & coming NY artist 10x by now. And he has more *ahem*swag*ahem* then any new NY nigga, & that counts, not to us, but for mtv fans, that counts heavy. Besides, you think if he gets super positive that anybody will listen to him? He has to speak to his audience in a certain way, and I think he been doing that here and there.
^I’d quit rap if it where me… at some point he should realize he serves as a staple to this ish. That I gotta give you the news as I see it in my hood shit is over rated. Oh I just reporting it how I see it bullshit. You get a pass if you just coming in the game on some shit. But for a mother fucker to be in the game 15 yrs+, and been out the hood for 10 of those years that excuse is lame. See you can talk slick and all that shit, but dont perpetuate shit that isnt real to you anymore. Niggas is in it just for a buck…and like I said earlier I aint made, its YOU (the artist) who has to be able to sleep at night.
^^^I see what you saying, and I think a 50 cent fits more into that category not Cube.
did you listen to the song in this post? Thats what I mean by speak to his audience/fans.

***Heav Diggy is underrated, IMO….Biggie’s verse on that Mary J. remix was only like 10 seconds long, lol, but yeah, it showed his potential ,and in a way, it was symbolic of his career- he did a memorable verse in 10 seconds, just like he was able to get into the GOAT conversation after only two albums…deservedly so, by the way
