try hooking all the street lights on Ravine Ave. up to the same switch, waiting for niggas to come on the block and then lights out.

Rayful Edmond destroyed DC. Destroyed families, communities and lives.
**Co-sign, but he did a lot of good, too- the nigga actively supported community centers, football teams, and shit like that, too….it’s a contradiction (no Rayful’s “thecret”), but I’m sayin’….besides that, if he wasn’t the one distributing the drugs, somebody else woulda gladly stepped in…
How we stop the Black Panthers?
Ronald Reagan cooked up an answer
You hear that? What Gil Scott is “Heron”
When our heroes or heroines got hooked on heroin
Crack, raised the murder rate in D.C. and Maryland
We, invested in that, it’s like we got Merrill Lynched

^ it depends on your hustle & your industry. if you put in four years and 8 years later youre still someones assistant you lost and obviously didnt take anything fro those 4 years. there are ppl who skipped college and did really well (word to bill gateS) and there are others who skipped it and are working burger king. at the same time– you got your grads who cant find a job or, like i said before, are just working as a secretary pr something. no matter what you do, you got to hustle. too many ppl in this country expect ppl to just hand them things.

I didn’t go to college just because I thought I needed to learn more or because I thought it was the only way to get a job…it was a great experience that can only be understood if you went as well and enjoyed it. I’m not denying it’s who you know because that is a sad truth in the job market…you make a lot of money, good for you. My salary is good as well.
97-01 was a great time for me and I have a lot of great memories. So was 01-05… I’m still in my twenties so I know there is a lot more good times ahead of me.
Just my opinion…

I’m just saying…College is highly overrated….Its not the road to success…it won’t give you that 100K job…
Connections and Network will take you to that path…
I know this guy who makes 125K at 24, his father put him in a Managerial position because hes the CEO of the company…he never had to spend a day in college…
College graduates…that 40K salary is waiting for you…sorry to be the bearer of bad news…

So what? Are you comfortable making this statement as if the youth should follow that mantra as a reason to not go to college? I am a firm believer in the effect of college being exaggerated, but if you look at averages, college graduates make more money than those who didn’t graduate… especially when you’re talking about fields where most americans are working and not in entertainment, sports, owning your own businesses. Your average kid is better off going to college… and not average in terms of intelligence, I mean average in terms of “go getter” mentality.
Plus college offers more than just education/job placement/money… it’s an experience I think everyone should have. It’s wayyyy different from anything before or after it.. just the social experience of it is worth it.

***I don’t think it’s pesoanl shots @ you, cold- but she’s right to a degree, some people do cling onto singular achievements/experiences way too long, like Al Bundy with his 7 touchdown game, lol…ideally, your life should be a process of creating moments that are better than the last, so that your best days are inevitable, not historical, you should always be ramping up for the next bit thing (none)
