Royce looks like he’s related to Dame
and whoever said his whole style was herb for the last video, wasn’t lying all that much. technically, how he handles himself is how every hip hop artist should behave, considering these are people who use words and hide behind mics… but who are we kidding, this is hip hop.
it’s funny how he has incest in the booth, but is so calm and controlled. almost sounded like that dave chappelle white person voice, without the over exageration “i didn’t know i couldn’t do that”
that Bar Exam 2 is fire though. lol at him actually being scared of Budden. i don’t know what Budden could possibly have to say about Royce, dude is practically an enigma. unless it’s some Detroit shit which is what he meant by wanting to ask Royce a question
smh… i can’t WAIT for a Budden vlog or interview, BEFORE he can say he’s cool with Royce. where he’s gonna make fun of Royce being scared of him. that exact shook look Royce sorta had is all that good karma heading Joey’s way for regularly handling himself like a gentleman
nah, right?

which I wouldn’t say was a diss if it made any sense what so ever but who the fuck says someone is too dark/depressing and turns around and says I’d rather listen to Budden ?
^^^
Budden wasnt known for dark songs back then.
He was known for punchlines & party tracks
Majority of people where I’m from think every Budden track is gonna sound like “That song with Marcus Houston”, Pump it Up, or “That song with Busta Rhymes”
Its sad but true

The United States is so DONE and it’s sad that everyday people don’t see it.
But it’s their own faults in part too because they’d rather pay attention to foolish ness than what goes on in their government offices.
I bet most don’t know of out 53 trillion dollar deficit. [53 THOUSAND BILLION] or [53 MILLION MILLION]
People just rely on the foolish news which is a joke.
You would think with the number I just showed you they would report it? . . .NO.
But they’ve got plenty of time to tell me about a guy why robbed someone with a fu*king sausage????!!!
Most media, many company heads, banks, the Federal Reserve [WHICH BY THE WAY IS NOT FEDERAL AT ALL] are controlled by NWO globalists.

I’m thinking no matter who is chosen the peices will be put into place.
My guess is that it will just be done in different ways.
I know if Brack doeswhat he says he wants to do we are through for sure.
Universal healthcare??????????
sure, sounds great. But ummmmm……
WHOS GOING TO PAY FOR THAT!?!?!??!
We have a national deficit of 53 trillion and all of out magor banks are going belly up!!!!
Lets throw free healthcare for hundreds of millions of people in there too with this IMAGINARY MONEY.
Oh wait, we didn’t count the millions of illegal immigrants too that arent even paying their share in taxes.
We won’t be able to say no to them will we? Cause thats mean.
Don’t forget all the higher taxes that Obama wants for the evil rich Americans
You know, the one who grinded from the bottom, werent lazy, didn’t get pregnant at thirteen, were responsible and made something out of themselves.
RAISING TAXES ON THE RICH IS RETARDED. it’s going to make things worse!
If you think they are going to let you take their money you’re crazy. They’ll just take it elsewhere.
Lower taxes increases incentives which creates job opportunities and cash flow into the economy
I never heard of a poor man giving out jobs and stimulating the markets.

RAPTALK.NET: You’re dropping a brand new street album on September the 30th. Give the fans the details on the project at this time.
Oh yeah, you know I’m doing an internet release called “Stray Dog: Off the Leash, Off the Chain Vol.1” which is more of a mixtape/album where I’m putting songs that I wouldn’t put on my mainstream album. There are certain people that like “I Luv Cali” more than my first album. You have two different crowds. “Philaphornia” was me at my finest feeling; I was feeling like a superstar – I was on top. “I Luv Cali” was more like a street album because I was more grown and I was back on the ground and I was back in tune with reality; I was not on a major label, I was really doing my gangsta thing.
September 30th you’ll get to see more of the “I Luv Cali” Roscoe and then at the same time, I have a new album that I’m prepping for 2009 which is another three year gap. My solo album is going to be a real album that will be on the majors called “Scoedelic.” That’s coming very soon.
RAPTALK.NET: We’re definitely going to get into that new solo album, but how will the new street album be available? Free download or hard copies?
It’s not going to be free download. I was going to make it for free download originally but now I have Itunes and everybody calling me. I have a lot of people hollering at me telling me I mines will sell these records.
I got an album coming out the same with Kurupt, the Roscoe and Kurupt album; that is called “Frank & Jesse James: The Untold Story.” The funny thing is Bun B & Scarface have an album coming out “Frank & Jesse” too. That comes out in stores everywhere September 30th, the same day as the internet release.
The internet release is just me doing that on the side for all my fans that love to read my blogs and get on the internet. It’s just something for the internet people.

ok well when i read ur statement thats how i perceived it ..its alright
because when u said “tax the rich…yeah the hard working one who are not lazy” immediately i pictured paris hilton shopping, 50 throwing money at the crowd, etc etc etc i did not think of small business owners because i happened to know a few and theyre not that rich..barely make it to middle class.. so im all for higher tax on the wealthy, why not.

Once artist exclusive mixtapes became the norm and they started packing them with original material that would never show up on a retail release. I’d say it started with Diplomats Vol.2 being better than Come Home with Me. It’s hard to even call something like Wale’s “The Mixtape About Nothing” a mixtape, since it’s way more like a retail release than the “traditional” late-90′s tape.

I think it’s time for Jay-Z to release a epic mixtape. If you notices most of the big name artist of the past 5 years have dropped mixtapes, some classic, Jay-Z has never offically done that. Of course DJ’s make there own, but I don’t remember a mixtape from jay-z being hosted by him or nothing, except the mixtape that came with the s.carter’s & that was tight, but we need a real offical one, everyones got one
Lil wayne – dedication series
50 cent – 50 cent is the future
Nas – the nigger tape

As ill as a Jay mixtape of the caliber would be, I just don’t see it happening. It would be the perfect set up for Blueprint 3, since Jocking Jay-Z is kinda/sorta flopping like a dead fish (which I’m pretty sure is why Hov deboe’d SLU). Mixtapes are usually for buzz, but a mixtape nowadays is apart of your legacy as much as a classic album. Think about how nigger tape is ranked in nas catalog history now, or wayne’s dedication series. Him doing a mixtape wouldn’t help much for his buzz for bp3, but it definently add a extra notch on his legacy, the S.Carter mixtape was/is hot & I think he needs to do another one.

***Sometimes it seems like he’s looking down on his audience, which is never a good thing, but he’s always been a brash/cocky (none) type of emcee, it’s only that now, his put downs seem more like arrogance than confidence- still one of the best in the game, but maybe it’s time to introduce some new blood to the game (no Mortal Combat)

i don’t say he’s a bad rapper. he’s on the top right now
much popular, his talent his watching, but it iz a fact (for me nevertheles)

a new song it’s not the same fact for me to see jayz does that.
i prefere the BP3 than (new weezy mixtape + C4)…
but that’s me
ps: if someone gave me tickets for free
i prefere one concert of jayz than ten of weezy

Why do ya’ll keep saying he don’t need a mixtape for buzz like I don’t know that? of course he don’t he’s jay-z. Nas didn’t need a mixtape for “untitled” cause he said he didn’t care how it sold, but he did it anyway, so instead of spreading out the material he had lying around, he put it together. I’m just curious on how a offical mixtape by jay would sound, ya’ll acting like ya’ll aint curious either (n/h) that’s why I brung it up, & if jay is gonna keep rapping in this new day & age, he gotta start sticking to these new boundries set by the new listeners, you see how easy it is for a nigga to say “hov’s nothing” now compared to 5 years ago. He’s not the end all be all no more like he was (popularity wise) And I think a dope mixtape would put him back on top where he reigned years ago (n/h)

still one of the best in the game, but maybe it’s time to introduce some new blood to the game
^^
Pretty much. The icons of the late 80′s had 4 year reigns. These mid-90 niggas are going on a decade, and refuse to bow out gracefully. Or is it that the rappers that came after the Nas’ and Wus’ simply werent dope enough to carry the torch sufficiently, therefore making it impossible for cats to fall back?

@ gr38445619jffdgb- yeah, Jay’s on a ho-nuv-lev-aah…he brings it (no UPS) lyrically, conceptually, stylistically, etc.- Wayne, IMO, is all style with no substance, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but just not my cup of tea…Weezy has flashes of brilliance, though- “Hustler Muzic” was epic, and he’s had some really dope features, as well…

nah, not even comparin the two, i’m just comparing the situations. . . . and they’re virtually the same.. .
both started their careers with music about shit they don’t do anymore (stones: drugs and hedonism, Jay: sellin drugs)

***Wayne JUST got decent like 2, 3 yrs ago…real talk, and besides that, I understand that you were born in the 90s or whatever, but you really need to look at some of the music from that era- shit produced more classics than any other period in time….As far as the subliminal at me, YOU brought age into the equation- we’re both on a hip hop blog, and if you say dumb shit, which you inevitably do, I’mma speak on it, just like I would anybody else…on top of that, you’re a newbie, trynna pull somebody’s card, GTFOH….it’s niggas like you in real life that try to set up on other nigga’s blocks and end up missing…no e-thuggery, here, just an observation…

Think about this, Jay started losing steam when his raps stop sounding like he’s talking to you. Not in the form of the words he’s saying like you can relate to them, but his conversational flow
Now let’s not think about the words, but more on the delivery between songs like dead presidents & jockin jay-z. He kinda got it back on american gangster, but when his conversational flow stopped it got harder to get into a jay-z song

Exactly! It seems like Hov is trying to fit into the sing-songy/melodic style delivery used by 50, Wayne, Ye etc. forgetting his strength was that “I’m not even really rapping, I’m just talking” flow.

^^^Those are prodigys (no Queensbridge) You cant name enough rappers or producers that put out classics by age 20, especially in this day and age with all the competition. I think mid to late 20s is the real peak, but of course some can maintain it.
