Buss like NBA Jams, & you can have Chicago

Some rappers might only make the money people make from having a 9-5, but at least they’re following their dreams & making money off something they love doing.
That beats working all day (& all your life) to please & fatten the pockets of someone you’ll never ever in your life, meet if you ask me
As long as your puttin food on the table, & payin your bills who cares. Every artist doesnt have to be a superstar, or even have superstar potential.
That takes nothing away from them as artists

Who is the last rapper to have a debut album go gold?
That’s how fucked up the game is right now.

Kanye broke the 4th wall today. He altered a song directly in response to critisism in damn near real time. I don’t know how to put it into words yet, but this is kind of a big deal. The net has completely changed our “relationship” with artists. I’m stoned.
*daps*
@sleep
I could be wrong, but I think the last rapper debut to go gold was Soulja Boy.

Joe Budden is gonna embarass the shit out of Royce.
Royce been throwing subliminals for too long.
knowing he reads these blogs, he knows of the pending diss record so in between now and then he’ll throw more shots or hide in preparation, either way he’s on his toes and practically scared.
this won’t be as one sided as hid battle with Mistah FAB

I just don’t see how he could not be straight financially. He was signed to the biggest rap star of this generation. He had a video on BET and a song on the Billboard top 100. I guess I don’t really have any facts but I’m sure he is doing just fine.

I still can’t believe Rick Ross used auto-tune

So if an artist just makes as much as the average man working a 9-5…Nothing to be super ballin with, but enough to feed his family & live comfortably…He should stop doing what he does and get a “regular” job???
I do not cosign this sentiment at all.

You only have one shot at life. You might as well do what you love.
What you say doesn’t matter to an artist. If any artist were to listen to you say there was no hope.. they wouldn’t succeed.. no matter what.
Fear and lack of hope.. are the killer of dreams.
what matters is people doing what they love. that way they can put all of their energy into it. its what makes the world go ’round.
following your dreams>>>taking the easy way out.

All his mixtapes are free and whatever he made from wayne I’m sure he use all that on studio time and rapper kit( chain cars). And I’ve never seen a flyer for a currency show but I like in nyc so I’m sure that has a lot to do with it.

I think wayne believed in currency but he’s a paper president @ cash money so he really makes no major decisions. So I’m guessing baby didn’t believe in the kid. But in a perfect world currency wouldve been on c3 and in the get money video on the last verse and preping his album right now of all that buzz.

Yeah I love all these fucking blog A&R’s, talking about the industry like they know what the fuck is going on.
I think if you’re able to express your yourself artistically, make good money (who knows, maybe insane money down the road), build with other artists you respect, get kick downs everywhere you go and tour the world you’d have to be an asshole not to try it if you had the talent/opportunity.
Everybody wants to mention ALBUM SALES…you got it all fucked up. It’s called SHOW MONEY. And if you’re independent even better. And why do all sorts of people wanna shit on Budden? I think he’s alright financially, why are others so worried with his finances?

Not exactly. If Mets lose tonight and the Brewers win, the Mets would be a half game out of the wild card too.

Illa J ain’t too bad on Dilla beats either…I was praying he wouldn’t be wack but after a few listens to the tracks that were on here I’m starting to look forward to his album.

the NL wild card will come from the central, not the east division. the Mets are gonna fuck it up, for sure. they have NO closer. even before Wagner got hurt, he was garbage. the Mets are fucked.
