Ooh, I forgot about the “Money, Power, Respect” cover. Yeah, that was…special. Bad Boy had a lot of hit or miss covers. Ma$e was 1-for-3, cuz the Harlem World cover was kinda weird, the Double Up cover was lazy, but the welcome back one was pretty cool IMO.
LMAO @ the Big Bear album cover. I definitely almost choked on cheerios just now.
I liked the “Late Registration” cover. Something epic about it, and coupled up with how musical that album was, it just worked.
Here’s another terrible one: “flesh of my flesh, blood of my blood”. We should’ve known that Earl was gonna have some issues in his future, doubly so when you consider that the big single from that album was “Slippin’”.

September 16th, 2008 at 3:06 pm
Paper Trail’s cover looks like the Biggie Duets cover if I remember correctly.
Also: Joe88–you’re the big “I’m Serious”/”Trap Muzik” fan, yes? Was old TI anything like this post-arrest TI? Cuz I’ve been digging Cliff’s new music from the “Superstar” remix ’til the recent “What’s up, What’s haapnin’” song, and if that’s what old TI sounded like, I might have to make a trip to best buy.

@ Rey.
Check out Trap muzik & urban legend. If you want the more lyrical T.I, pick up urban legend, but if you want the more heart felt “no matter what” like T.I, pick up trap muzik. The song “I still love you” still make my eyes water from time to time
September 16th, 2008 at 3:11 pm
Was old TI anything like this post-arrest TI?
^^
I realize this wasn’t directed at me, but post-arrest TI does sound more like “I’m Serious/Trap Music” era than “King/TI vs. TIP era”, but the accent was heavier back then.

^It came out around the time the internet was slowly becoming apart of our daily lives. Atleast the title & the cover had something in common.
Makaveli is a top 5 cover, I remember people seeing that cover & freaking out, & there wasn’t no internet to get to see the cover months before the release, so when they seen that cover after he died, the “he faked his death” rumors really started flying

WOW. Emphatic cosign on the “Confessions…” cover. That shit was not any kinda cool. That might be the gayest album cover ever. No wonder he started the “No Homo” movement. Oh, and I’m listening to “I Still Love You”. Yeah man, I can dig this.
