    basically, if you believe in nothing, you go nowhere when you die, but when you believe in religion, at least you have a chance to go to heaven. so why not just believe?

I also feel like organized religion was created by the “powers that be” to achieve their personal agendas.     I wasn’t referring to the stories Jesus told. By parables, I was referring to all the stories in the Bible that people take as literally happening (i.e. Noah building a boat the size of Massachusettes, the Garden of Eden, burning bushes etc) that (to me, at least) are at best metaphors for the human condition, and at worst, fairy tales. In retrospect, considering that Jesus did relay parables, that probably wasnt the best word to use.

    huh? evolution isnt exclusive the apes. and religion dictates that god made man, not man evolved from apes, so per the religion convo evolution is null, void & non existant.
