I wasn’t referring to the stories Jesus told. By parables, I was referring to all the stories in the Bible that people take as literally happening (i.e. Noah building a boat the size of Massachusettes, the Garden of Eden, burning bushes etc) that (to me, at least) are at best metaphors for the human condition, and at worst, fairy tales. In retrospect, considering that Jesus did relay parables, that probably wasnt the best word to use.
