this sounds identical to the one that was released earlier in the week. im sure someone just put “mastered” on it and posted it. there’s no way he’s releasing this song like that. im sure its a demo version. you can even edits at 1:52 where it sounds like someone was piecing to together 2 different versions.

The interesting thing is that the version on MTV sounded better because of his points of accentuation. When he transitions into the “Love Lockdown” portion of the chorus…..he scales down as opposed to up and it had much less effect on the listener. Forget about the fact that the note is dull because it is not a natural note for his vocal range….even the robot effect couldn’t help him. I’m surprised that someone with such knowledge of sound quality would allow something of such poor quality to be released. This release has essentially ruined my buzz. After watching him perform on the MTV Awards (best performance by the way…beside of course Lil Wayne cameoing during Kid Rocks set) I was ABSOLUTELY sure that this song would be a MAJOR BANGER once released…..I am dissappointed. Please Kanye….fix it….you still have time!!!!!

addendum: what man hasn’t experienced longing for his ex, yet how rare is that expressed in rap which is supposed to be ‘real’.

contrast that with how few people have killed someone or seen kilos of coke in proportion to the amount of times those two topics get touched on in rap and you might get a glimpse of why this is revolutionary

the heartbeat as a component in a love song is also a clever touch, imo.

You didn’t mention Coldplay, but the ish is good; if you are into trance/dub/electronica. It mos def needs some more layers on it and could use it.
