   True, but not really by choice tho, most rappers that discovered how lucrative independence was only found out by default because they got dropped off majors.

   You have to keep in mind too, as much as cats want to be “artistes”, and make a shitload of money, fame and notoriety also play just as vital a role in cats wanting to rap for a living. Niggas want people to recognize them on the street, and that’s what majors will always have over indies.

    Rock fans listen to new shit, with little to no need for a cosign from another rock artist.

    Rap fans wont give you a chance if Jay dont say your nice

    Me either, but look at who’s making it. Neo-cons are winning elections by convincing rednecks that they are the party of working class (even tho that has been the traditional democrat role since FDR), by playing on their fears and biases. As a matter of fact, that’s how the true elite has always stayed in power, making poor crackers think the black man (and others) are the enemy, when in fact all the misery can be traced bact to them (the true elites).
