Video: Number One With a Bullet Trailer
Many of today’s biggest rap stars have something in common besides successful careers: they’ve all been shot and have lived to rap about it. Their tales of gunplay, their reactions to the violence, and their changed attitudes after having survived near-death experiences are varied and always compelling.
NUMBER ONE WITH A BULLET takes the viewer deep into the psyche of these incredibly talented artists, who share a common thread: the permanent physical scars from the bullets that almost took them out and the corresponding emotional scars that affect them in profound and personal ways.

Dr. Michael Eric Dyson writes a book on Nas’ “Illmatic”.
“Every song on Illmatic will be analyzed, interpreted and then re-articulated in a kind of intellectual sense from his own base in Hip Hop and we’re trying to deal with that seriously.” Large Professor said “It means a lot. That’s what we were working for though. It’s finally paying off. It was a lot of hard work put into getting that album how it was – even getting Nas to that point. It’s finally payin’ off. Sometimes it’s a delayed reaction with things. Back in the days, my father would tell me, ‘You’re ahead of your time.’ I didn’t know what that meant. Sometimes that’s a good thing and a bad thing. You get a grasp on it, and you understand what it is, and you realize it.” Tha Book iz 4 January 09 probably/maybe.

Palin’s speech was horrible, but those crackers were eating it up. “Whats the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull?…..(wait for it)…lipstick!” She’s tougher than she initially seemed, but also dumber than she originally seemed as well.

People had low expectations from the gate and since she didn’t bomb, she did fine. Two things of note: she mocked community organizing (which is bullshit, because without that, she wouldn’t have the right to vote) and she dismissed the whole idea of Miranda rights. I think she’s a twit. She went at Obama’s head in such a condescending way that she personified the stereotypical mantra of the Republican party (or politics, if you want to be real): We’re better than you off principle alone and we’ll make sure that you never get to that level; laughing at the minions below you. Her speech was an attempt to energize the Republican base, point blank. That speech wasn’t about courting Dems and Independents, it was about “I’m a red-blood Republican just like you!” If you score it from that viewpoint, she won last night. But if you want to think about it on a larger scale, the Republicans don’t have any policy to run on, so they are turning this into a culture war. She resembled that last night.

I don’t remember her mentioning anyting about the economy/health care/gas prices late nite i.e. the issues most Americans give a fuck about, elephant or donkey. Like cici said, the speech was to charge the base. However, if you’re still charging the base in September, you are in trouble. Now’s the time to get the swing voters, and as incendiary as her speech was, I dont see it converting anybody.

1) She said that Obama was never a part of any major legislative work in the Senate, which is false.
2) She said that Obama wants to give rights to terrorists. Obama, alongside many other politicians, believe that ACCUSED terrorists deserve the same rights as those on our soil. They have the right to fair trial, to be judge by a jury, etc.
3) She said that she was never a supporter of the Bridge to Nowhere in Alaska, which is a lie. When she was working with Alaska senator Ted Stevens, she made it a point on record to say that she supported the initiative. It’s the third time that’s she lied about it in the past two weeks.
4) She said that Obama doesn’t have the experience to run for President because he has no executive experience. Her logic is false because 1) John McCain ONLY has legislative experience (Ohio and Arizona) so under her logic, she has more experience than McCain. Secondly, Bush had executive experience before he was elected and look how that came out.

@ RIGZ- from his website (high school teacher, not college prof, my bad):
Jim Myers AKA George “The Animal” Steele The main behind the Animal
Jim graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He received his Masters Degree from Central Michigan University.
Jim was a full time physical education teacher and coach at Madison High School in Madison Heights, Michigan. Jim coached football for twenty-five years, the last twelve years as the head coach. The football program was in a down swing when he became head coach. He was really happy with the story book finish of Madison being rated number one in the state of Michigan 1985 football season.
Jim started Madison’s wrestling program in 1966 and Madison won the Michigan State wrestling championship in 1969. Over the sixteen years that Jim coached wrestling Madison compiled 188 wins, 41 losses and two ties.
