    If Afeni didn’t make pac apologize, gloria shouldn’t of made Jay do it, the apology sourt of took away from the dopeness of SU. And eskay is right, people aready had there minds made up about ether when they heard it, they was like it’s over, but if you really look at the battle as a whole, jay didn’t make one totally direct song towards nas either, Blueprint 2 he went in on the second verse, SU was a freestyle song cause it was over another beat, & takeover was only the 3rd verse. I could only imagine if jay would’ve made 3 solid verses against nas over a just blaze beat, fuck that, now I wanna hear a song that don’t exist, lol

    Ether was a thin skeleton of a beat with no forward motion. The song is propelled soley by Nas’ voice and delivery (which is a testament to Nas as an MC). Have you ever heard it without the vocals? It kind of sucks. I could listen to Takeover without the rhymes. Kanye killed that shit.
