I’ve heard Triumph one time my whole life
**Why even be on a hip hop site, then?
^^
because Wu Tang is not where hip hop begins and ends.
***But they’re a huge part of the story, especially what is considered “authentic” hip hop…being on a hip hop site and shitting on Wu while praising Bone is like being on a reggae site, talking about “maaaan, fuck Bob marley, that nigga Sean Kingston is where it’s at—-and if you wanna go furher back, nigga (none), you every heard “Red Red Wine” by UB40, my nigga?” (none)..You’re seriously playing yourself…
^ whut he sed. i dont fucks with eminem but i know his legacy and contributions to the art form. I dont fucks with jose gorda but i still recognize what he did (but wont admit it). I dont have to dance crump to know ho it connects woith the culture.
August 15th, 2008 at 1:02 pm
what impact has U-God had on hip hop that I should know of, aside from being 1/100th of a group of rappers and weedcarriers?
^U-God impact was he was apart of a 100 man group, the best hip hop group ever, that is more than 40 cal would ever be. I like bone (n/h) but there best couldn’t fuck with Wu 2nd string niggas, & they was out around the same time, in the 90’s cappadonna would rip all of BT&H to shreads, If you don’t like the wu, just say it, but don’t lie to yourself & act like they wasn’t relevant around you, if they wasn’t then you & who you hung out with didn’t listen to hip hop.
U-God’s yellow polo sweater > BT&H
And I fucks with BT&H but they will tell you themself they aint on Wu tang level

***and honestly, I mean, they did dope joints with Pac and Big, but they got outshined on both collabos…I can’t totally shit on BTH, because they had their hits, even the recent jawn with Akon, but they’re not even in Wu’s stratosphere, influence wise, musically, and legacy-wise…Bone Thugs might as well have been them niggas from Quincy Jones’ “Secret Garden”, except they stretched it out to like 5, 6 albums…..

Bone’s biggest feat in hip hop
Rapping with biggie & Pac when they was alive
but Method man did it first
I’m not the biggest wu fan anymore, but back in the 90′s? Man, them niggas had shit on lock, the only thing I prolly ever agree with ice-t on is when he said wu was the best group ever, all of them ninjas can rap, we aint even gonna talk about how they impact modern hip hop as we know it. Who has BT&H influenced? There your cup of tea, I know this, but to downgrade the wu for them is crazy
August 15th, 2008 at 1:09 pm
neither me nor anyone in my circle ever fucked with Wu aside from Method Man. I don’t even remember Wu ever having a hold on NY hip hop.
***What…the..fuck? You just lost any shred of credibility you ever had…either you’re ignorant, or you’re 15…

Saying “everyone” once knew each of the members names in the Wu is a slight exhaggeration, but I know what you’re trying to say
^^^
sort of like saying there was no star in Bone Thugs
but lies and exaggerations aren’t hard to spot these days
^GTFOH. There WASN’T any stars. Just because people remembered “the lightskinned dude” doesn’t qualify him as a star, especially without any notable dolo albums. However, people can EASILY point out Meth’s first joint, a few Ghost joints, Rae’s first joint, GZA’s first joint, ODB’s first joint, 36 Chambers, and WuTang Forever… and those are just based off people listening to the radio and watching BET, without being a hiphop head. So nah, I don’t buy that, chief. Besides E1999, NOBODY knows anything those mofos ever did.
It’s one thing to not like a group, but to try your hardest to front on their accolades is ridic, and borderline clownish.
For instance, I hate Lil Wang and hope that he gets D-D-T’ed off of a cliff into a pile of his 209 mixtapes, but there are songs of his that I easily recognize based off of the video/radio/internet shits.
Come on fam, be real for once.
Besides, I don’t trust no mofos who intentionally leak eps of the Wire as a joke. Oh yeah nigga, I aint forgot. Lol

again. Wu is not the begining and end of hip hop. everybody around me was listening to niggas that made impacts long before them. you can think I’m just lying if you want but this group seriously never meant a thing to me. thats not taking anything away from what they brought to the table but I just don’t feel them. just like I or anyone can respect what Bone did and still realize there’s 100 niggas before and after them that are better.

*Sees argument about Wu and Bone Thugs*
Why can’t we just agree that both groups have passed their prime and no longer are that relevant to the game?

^But there still more important to hip hop than bone and you know this, there will never be a hip hop honors for bone, bone’s biggest sucess was “crossroads” that’s it, if you grungy enough to know about “first of the month” you had to hear atleast one wu album, since you keep saying the wu isnt the beginning & end, then who is as a group of nine ninjas? Until you give me a group with that many members that had more of a impact, you can’t say there not the beginning & end, cause they really are, there was no group that deep before them, and wasn’t a group after them, period.

lol @ The Wire leaks. I’ll never be forgiven for that lol
son, I’m being dead serious now. all Rza jokes aside. Wu never mattered to my people in the Bronx. NEVER. I recognize what they did for the game, but I honestly don’t know one hook besides C.R.E.A.M. when they allegedly hot, Biggie, Pac, Canibus, Pun, Big L, and whoever else you can think of was getting more airplay out here.

I miss my uncle charles ya’ll
I like BT&H, but half the time, I don’t even be understanding what they be saying, shit sounds like gibberish to me. I remember when crossroads came out & I tried to remember the words, I rapped that shit while it was on with my friends one day & my partner had the single with the words, after I read that shit, I realized I was rapping a whole nother song, lol I didn’t know none of those words, lol

I don’t care about hip hop honors. this is about what impacted me, not who the masses feel is more deserving of respect.
if Wu is the begining and end of hip hop then Run DMC, NWA, PE and Sugar Hill never existed. come on Joe
