That’s only two years from now, and look at how this year has flown by, lol…I’ve been listening to rap my whole life, and I’m 33-I’ll probably listen to it the rest of my life, but maybe I’ll diversify my genres (no Wu Tang financial) a little as I get older- I let a lil alternative rock and classic R&B on the playlist, these days **Shrugs**, but I can’t see abandoning hip hop now, any more than I can see myself not getting geeked up when superhero movies drop, 20 yrs from now…

A man is dining in a fancy restaurant and there is a gorgeous redhead sitting at the next table. He has been checking her out since he sat down, but lacks the nerve to talk with her.
Suddenly she sneezes, and her glass eye comes flying out of its socket toward the man. He reflexively reaches out, grabs it out of the air, and hands it back.
‘Oh my, I am so sorry,’ the woman says as she pops her eye back in place.
‘Let me buy your dinner to make it up to you,’ she says.
They enjoy a wonderful dinner together, and afterwards they go to the theatre followed by drinks. They talk, they laugh, she shares her deepest dreams and
he shares his. She listens.
After paying for everything, she asks him if he would like to come to her place for a nightcap and stay for breakfast. They had a wonderful, wonderful time.
The next morning, she cooks a gourmet meal with all the trimmings. The guy is amazed. Everything had been SO incredible!
‘You know,’ he said, ‘you are the perfect woman. Are you this nice to every guy you meet?’
‘No,’ she replies. . .
Wait for it. .
It’s coming. .
She says:
‘You just happened to catch my eye

Truthfully, I don’t like the new jay track, I know why I don’t like it, but I really don’t, cause that song is right up up jay alley (none). I think i’m getting tired of hearing jay-z period. Lyrically, he never lost a step, but imo he has nothing else to rap about. He used every topic he could, even made up some new topics (30 new 20, american G’s, etc) Maybe if we strip him of his riches, give em a face lift (so people won’t notice him), & make him work at wendy’s or something for like 2 years, then tell him to rap again, that album would be classic, lol

Jockin jay-z is gonna be a club banger……..that shit is crazy….
“I aint no Pretty boy, i got a Gorgeous wrist, cut Handsome checks and my flows Pretty sick”
That repetitive Jocking Jay-z shit is gonna catch on heavy, it should get a lot of spins….and always the best at talkin that fly shit….hov sets the bar so high for himself that its almost impossibile for him to make something that the whole world will approve of, plus its fun to hate ill admit it….when the expectation factor dies down niggas will see that this sing is bananas….
^ 1. I don’t hate for fun. I have legitimate reasons (c) Lil Wang
2. Jay-Z samples have been worn out at this point (c) Cassidy, T.I., etc. Therefore sampling his own vocals is wacktivity unless he woulda got Preemo to cut it up just right.
3. The fly shit is so repetitive with Jay. I don’t mind it, but the shit is awfully lazy. EX: Max B talks fly shit which is why everybody like him. But his persona matches the tempo/flow/lyrics and it translate into a quality/humerous mixtape. He talks about Beyonce for the umpteenth time then denies her in interviews. Grow ya ol’ ass up.
4. I don’t expect shit from Jay at this point which is why I don’t even listen to his music. I would like to thank him for the Kingdom Come album though because the wackery made me open up to different artists.
5. Reveling over a song being a club banger is one in a million at this point. Big whoop. I was in Red Maple last night (B’more shit) and Soulja Boy’s “Donk” is just as much of a club banger to me. Dead-ass. Not tryin’ to be funny. So big whoop.

98′ did have classic music. My favorite years are prolly 98′ to 03′.
Hard knock life, It’s dark and hell is hot, and just the arrival of X and canibus is enough to prove a point about 98. And the mixtapes was better. Maybe because they was so hard to get compared to now. Finding them was half the reward.

Doorbell
A man is walking down the street one day when he notices a very small boy trying to press a doorbell on a house across the street. However, the boy is very small and the doorbell is too high for him to reach. After watching the boy’s efforts for some time, the man moves closer to the boy’s position.
He steps smartly across the street, walks up behind the little fellow and, placing his hand kindly on the child’s shoulder, leans over and gives the doorbell a solid ring.
Crouching down to the childs level, the man smiles benevolently and asks, “And now what, my little man?”
……..
The boy replies, “Now we run!”

^Great minds…
Because recently I was thinking… since gimmicks are just what they are, gimmicks… he should go live in a West Bumble Fuck, Mid-West state with the bare necessities for a year in a lil’ ass house and just write rhymes. Let his creativity flow. You’d be surprise of how less tainted his music would sound if he was in a position of dire straits [LF: I learned "dire straits" from Coming To America and have been abusing it since then, lol] and had no access to his fortunes, it would breed the creativity that spawned RD. Would he duplicate RD? Of course not. But that creative process would be similar because he wouldn’t have shit else to do/worry about except writing and creating somethin’ from the heart.

***For 3 yrs, a 30 yr prolly works better, since your payments will be much higher on a 15, and if you’re only doing 3 yrs, all of your mortgage payments will be going into interest, anyways…In fact, your intent is like the only scenario in which a 5 yr ARM makes sense….

^I think American Gangsta vs. Carter III proves why all this hoopla about expectations have died down tremendously. And I’m a bonafide Wayne HATER. Sure, Wayne sold more than everybody… that’s the easy arguement. But Camel is the GOAT (no mammal with identity crisis). And for him to pass the torch to that creature ass ninja further solidifies that he is hangin’ on for dear life to capture a new audience. As for KC, it just didn’t seem sincere enough for me. Like he was forced to do that album. With suck-ass beats. But w/e, I could care less at this point. Right now I’m just enjoyin’ the new committee of artists that are making noise. And hating is fun on artists I really don’t like. When I gotta pull out the shovel for Jay then it’s usually because I’m just not satisfied with his efforts (nh).

kc wasnt really bad, just not what anyone wanted. first off, it was pretty short. i felt like i was done with it in like fifteen minutes. i dont know if it was that the beats were bad its just he wanted that mature sound and ended up with some pretty dark songs, like the one where john legend sings on. even then, im a fan of dark material. but if u look at the black album it was just him sounding like he spazzed out off the top of the head on every song, which is why its so classic.

^most people do that, but I don’t think billz is one of them, cause if it’s hot, he’s gonna say it’s hot, just like me, like I said the other day, I like the lebron freestyle more than jockin jay-z, so i’m not even holding jay to jay standards like I do every other rapper, so i’m giving him more of a chance then most the artist I like, so that’s not the case for me, i’m just not feeling the song, or the “aint I” song, I like the movado verse more than “aint I” not feeling the song with him and wayne either. He kills all of those songs with the lyrics, but that shouldn’t be the only reason why I listen to em. And if max b make a wack song, I just skip it, but most of his shit is fire, and I can name atleast 20 songs max b made that’s better that “jockin jay-z”

Beat: as I mentioned, samplin’ himself seemed generic on that beat. Just like Max B can EASILY get played out if he doesn’t aim for some new shit. But Jay-Z is supposed to stay ABOVE the bar. There have been a number of artists who have sampled from existing go-go records or put out records with a go-go beat.
Kurtis Blow had E.U. play on “Party Time” (1983, Mercury).
Grace Jones’ “Slave to the Rhythm” (1985, ZTT) includes E.U.’s Ju Ju House on drums and percussion.
Grandmaster Melle Mel and the Furious Five released a cover of Trouble Funk’s “Pump Me Up” (1985, Sugar Hill).
LL Cool J’s “Rock the Bells” (1985, Def Jam) samples Trouble Funk’s “Pump Me Up.”
Doug E. Fresh’s “All the Way to Heaven” (1986, Reality) has a go-go beat, sampled rototom fills, and call-and-response vocals with a live audience.
The Beastie Boys’ “Hold It, Now Hit It” on Licensed to Ill (1986, Def Jam) samples a drum fill from “Drop the Bomb” by Trouble Funk.
Run-D.M.C.’s “Is It Live” on Raising Hell (1986, Profile) has a go-go rhythm track (approximated on a drum machine) and samples a go-go drum fill.
The Real Roxanne With Hitman Howie Tee’s “(Bang Zoom) Let’s Go Go!” (1986, Select) has a stripped-down go-go beat.
Heavy D & the Boyz’s “Mr. Big Stuff” (1986, MCA) has a go-go beat.
The title track from Boogie Down Productions’s Criminal Minded (1987, B-Boy) samples Trouble Funk’s “Let’s Get Small”.
M/A/R/R/S’s “Pump Up the Volume” (1987, 4AD) includes a vocal sample from Trouble Funk’s “Pump Me Up.”
Salt-N-Pepa’s “My Mike Sounds Nice” (1987, Next Plateau) has a go-go sample.
Salt-N-Pepa recorded “Shake Your Thing” (1988, Next Plateau) with E.U.
Kid n’ Play’s “Rollin’ With Kid n’ Play” (1989, Select) has a go-go sample.
2 Live Crew recorded a version of “Drop the Bomb” with Trouble Funk called “The Bomb Has Dropped” (1989, Luke Skyywalker)
Doug E. Fresh had Rare Essence play on the remix of “I’m Getting Ready” on his “D.E.F.=Doug E. Fresh” 12-inch (1989, Reality)
Salt-N-Pepa’s “Expression” (1989, Next Plateau) has a go-go break (with samples) in the middle that includes the lyrics “At my door they’re bum-rushin’ / To hear the percussion / Sound of my go-go band.”
Jesse Jaymes covered E.U.’s “Shake It Like a White Girl” (1991, Delicious Vinyl).
Jay-Z was sued by Rare Essence over the track “Do It Again (Put Ya Hands Up)” from Life and Times of S. Carter Vol.3 (1999, Roc-A-Fella), which apparently “borrowed” liberally from RE’s “Overnight Scenario”.[16]
Jill Scott’s “It’s Love” on her album Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol. 1 (2000, Hidden Beach/Epic) has a go-go beat.
In April 2002, Ludacris performed “Roll Out” on The Tonight Show, backed by Rare Essence.
Nelly’s “Hot in Herre” (2002, Universal) is based on a sample from Chuck Brown’s “Bustin’ Loose.”
Producer Rich Harrison (who hails from the D.C. area) has produced a number of hit songs—including Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love” (2003, Columbia) and Amerie’s “1 Thing” (2005, Columbia)—that, while not explicitly go-go, have a definite go-go feel to them (strong, funky drums with added percussion).
Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz’s “Aww Skeet Skeet” with D.C.’s DJ Flexx, from the album Crunk Juice (2004, TVT) has a go-go beat.
At the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards, Ludacris performed his song “Pimpin’ All Over the World” backed by Rare Essence.
At a 2006 show, Justin Timberlake performed a go-go version of his song “SexyBack”.[17]
In 2007, Jim Jones performed “We Fly High” with TCB.[18]
The Roots feat. Chrisette Michele and Wale, “Rising Up” (2008, Def Jam) has a go-go break, D.C. rapper Wale was selected as The Roots wanted to pay homage to this D.C. sound.

Malil Arrested Over Ex-girlfriend Stabbing
12 August 2008 12:47 AM, PDT
The 40-year-old Virgin actor Shelley Malil has been arrested over claims he repeatedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend.
Malil reportedly attacked the woman in her home near San Diego, California on Sunday.
Authorities say he chased her inside and outside the house and stabbed her as many as 20 times.
The victim’s two children were in the home at the time of the attack.
A neighbour tried to capture the attacker but he escaped. Malil was arrested at an Amtrak station in San Diego.
The identity and condition of the victim is unknown as WENN went to press.
