And C-Murder first album “Life or death” is borderline classic
I live across the street from a killer, round the corner from a murderer, next door to a nigga, that never even heard of, a free day, cause he did fed time, about 9, cold blooded killers, still dressing like dem old timers

Does No Limit even still exist, or did they drop the first word to sound more mainstream, i.e., Death Row becoming “the Row”, or Murder Inc becoming “the Inc”…cuz I ain’t heard of nobody signing to “the Limit”

LF: I know we all have things burried in our past and skeletons in the closet. Fashion-wise, I have quite a few. I’m gonna go head and put myself on the guillotine of Nah. I was randomly thinkin’ about how I have an assortment of du-rags in one of my drawers. I don’t rock ‘em anymore (and if you’re a friend of mine on Myspace this only adds to the hilarity for obvious reasons), but I have them in madd different colors, including 2 of ‘em in pastel colors of which I will not mention as I have supplied enough self-ether in this comment.

^Co-sign, the first album was wack, but the 2nd album when he teamed up with dre again was alright, the joint with “bitch please” on it. That’s why I put snoop on that list, even tho his album was wack, he was still in the light & popular because of P, if he wouldn’t have went with no limit, it’s possible to say snoop could’ve lost out & fell off like the other 98% of the west coast

I’m a Snoop fan, but for real, he’s the embodiment of “you had a spark when you started, now you’re garbage”–I don’t think he has another “Deep Cover” verse in him (none), and he’ll never match up to his contributions on “the Chronic”, or the perfection of his first solo jawn—yet, somehow, he manages to be entertaining and listenable, despite the fact that his skills have clearly fallen the fuck off….

^If you’re talking dominance, there’s no way that Bad Boy is at the top of that list. Real talk, I love biggie more than any other rapper ever, but real talk, when death row was on their shit, you couldnt tell them nothing. Seriously, Puff got the whole concept for Big’s first album from Dre’s first album, snoops first, classic, Pac–nothing needs to be said. Them death row years were like no other.

^Yep, but what I think he means is before p it was south artist, but they wasn’t put in a catagory, like the east was in, or the west, people was buying west coast albums just because the dude was from the west, ninjas wasn’t buying down south music just because till P hit the hip hop planet. P made it cool to be from the south, that was apart of his sales pitch, unlike outkast, etc. And you can’t forget the void between the geto boys, and master p, yeah we had outkast, but you seen the reaction they got at the source awards, & groups like “the 69 boys” (very homo name) was more popular than outkast, & that was more of the south representation than outkast to the mainstream

^For me, I only knew of scarface from the geto boys and that was only the song mind playing tricks. Outkast was cool, but I never really got down with them until I’d say Aquemini, but even then I wasnt really feeling them like that. ANd to this day, i’ve heard the term/group/crew/clique dungeoen family, and the only people that i know that was in there was outkast and goodie mob, and i was never checking for them.
While NL may have been a little later, they had the most impact up here.
