For clarity sake ..
The video title inferrs that I “Endorse” the green party as supposed to support Cynthia Mckinney and Rosa Clemente.
The reason I support them is very simple.. it is the same reason Al Sharpton ran last election and Jesse Jackson ran.. and other candidates run.. like Kucinich or other cats that you KNOW won’t win.
The do it so that they can get issues on the national stage. Issues that the primary parties candidates WON’T address.
Grassroots issues that are of core importance to your everyday life. The shit that got you so ready for the Change that barack is running on but not really offering.
To me .. it’s the same argument that we have about Hip Hop.. we always complain about how the music is wack or that hip hop is dead because the Labels and Radio and Bet or MTV won’t support “real Hip Hop” .. but at the end of the day we don’t buy support or promote the artist that we think SHOULD be winning.. and we don’t even give the shit a voice.. and ACT like it don’t exist so we can justify complaining as opposed to being proactive.
Now is a unique time.. we can leverage our vote if those numbers start slipping and the polls start showing a migration to the green party.. do u know how fast Barack will start speaking on issues concerning HIS BASE as opposed to pandering to the white base that he is selling us out for?

There is a line between ones political philosophy and ones ability to affect change. Okay you are for the green party, I respect that. I’m personally of a DSA mind set (Democratic Socialists of America), but I also know the strength of my vote in this coming election.
Let me put it to ya’ll like this. You just put a buck 50 in the vending machine of America. You’ve been jonesin’ for some M&Ms all day and in your haste to get them you put your money in before making sure they were in stock. God damn E-6 is empty, no M&Ms. Buck 50 is spent. What do you do? Pick from whats left or keep pounding E6, hoping the candy fairy grants you a miracle?
Ya’ll are right, the system is corrupt. Neither Obama or McCain completely epitomize the leader the nation needs. But why are you still pressing E-6? Why are you wasting your buck 50 / vote?
Moreover, sideshow presidential candidates are often spoilers. If it wasn’t for Nader, it is very likely that Gore would have won and the nation would at the very least be marginally better than it is today. 20/20 hindsight assures us that Gore was the lesser of two evils.
I’d like to end by apologizing to NYOIL, my temper got the best of me. It grinds against my spirit to think that we might find our selves looking back 8 years from now, surmising the damage of electing the wrong guy again. It’s out of this fear that I lash out at you, forgive me the transgression.
