    I was hoping Bernie was gonna give us one more stand-up before he stopped doing it for good. Once comedians shift over to acting, they usually stick with it because it pays well and it enhances their skills and career. Some go back to their roots (Chris Rock) while others don’t (Eddie Murphy).

    Bernie Mac had some quality roles though.

    ^OUTLINE? Aw HELL nah. I know madd stores in Mondawmin used to carry Iceberg, but Outline was the GOAT ripoff store. It was strictly for the husslers. They used to have one in Towson. Muhfuckin’ snug ass Moschino t-shirt was like $160. Coogis ranged anywhere from a few hundred to the cost of open heart surgey.

    I used to FIENNNNND for an Iceberg sweater. Remember the Snoopy joint Raekwon rocked in “John Blaze”? Or the Bugs Bunny joint Jay had on in the Streets Is Watchin’ movie? Ninjas was rockin’ ‘em to their proms and shit. My lil’ part-time jobs was nowhere near enough to cop them shits. My only claim to fame to having before a lot of people was a pair of Mountain Gears.      It is so very sad that Bernie passed on… a young man who was still attempting to branch out into new avenues professionally… he will be deeply missed….

     He added a lot to the comedy circuit and many comics who came after him were imitators…

     I do hope that he is resting with God…

     Thank you for mentioning him with respect and admiration…

     It was all so sudden that Mr. Bernie is gone, he gave us gutt busting laughter, and soul, he always kept it real, even on his Bernie Mac Show, I don’t know if it was true what he said about taking in his sister children but if he did that goes to show you what kind of heart he had. He was good person. Life is too short to be mad and hold a grudge, live and love like it’s your last day, because you never know when and how you may leave this earth. Rest in Peace Bernie. Much Love
