people have been saying for the last five years that sales are not going to matter any more. guess what? people keep waking up to a world where sales matter. all this destroy-and-rebuild stuff? sounds great in theory. everybody can speak very intelligently about the destory part. nobody has yet artiuclated a fully viable way of rebuilding. obviously i understand the cultural significance of blogs but if you think that this is the end-all be-all of the new musical horizon, you’re wrong for a number of reasons.
