    When I mention other people, its because My view is just one of one….I have to consider others opinion’s too, because they too listen to the rappers and form a conclusion. Plus depending on where you live, you are going to have a certain type of rapper that you like….So arguing who is better based on me vs. you, is not a very qualified argument, because there are certain aspects that each one of us may favor

    ^i feel what ur saying ||, but when i bring up his lyrical ability ur like true dat but nahh the streets…when i said hes mad versatile ur like werd up fam but on the real the streets aint… i understand u and the streets are married and the streets reside in ur heart and u are a prodigy of the streets…but bringing up the fact a kid in the california grew up in a broken home and prolly was around n.w.a more and thats why he doesnt like lupe…it doenst really have a bearing on the discussion.

    Okay, I think you misunderstood what I was saying….I said lupe was nice and had mad skills but he’s missing a crucial element to be considered one of the goats and that’s the street love…..whether you like or not it is essential to have the streets repping your music, because that is where rap grew up….

    Now If someone considers lupe to be one of the best rappers to ever do it, then I have no problem with that, but his lack of hood presence just doesn’t get him in that discussion, by way of the people who are the pot stirrers of the rap game.

    The same reason why common, talib and others don’t get mentioned…..That’s just part of the natura world order.

    ^I remember Bullet Proof Wallets being very under promoted. I don’t even remember a video for that album clearly. Pretty Toney knocks too. I give that more spins than Fishscale.

    Co-sign. The overly nasal tone of his voice on Resurrection was always off-putting to me (pause). I had been looking for years for a CD copy of this album with the original Ghetto Heaven with D’Angelo on it (the Macy Gray remix and accompanying vid is the moment Common jumped the shark. And he still hasnt FULLY recovered). Found it for like 5.99. Made my fucking day.
