It’s a shame because I think this era of “Hip-Hop” has dumbed down the culture so much that a young person who has never heard “Illmatic” or “Reasonable Doubt” wouldn’t even understand the significance of the lyrics, premise, or the impact of that music when they hear it for the first time.
