Video: Chuck D & Snoop Dogg on Living Legend
This time around, Youtube’s Living Legend honors Chuck D of Public Enemy and Snoop Dogg. I caught onto this the first time around when they did the Rolling Stones but didn’t really have the patience to watch 30 or so clips. Luckily for hip hop fans with short attention spans, they made about a third of the clips for two times the artists. In the player above, you can watch all the testimonials from the likes of Afrika Bambaataa of the Universal Zulu Nation, MC Zion from the Zion I, Los Angeles Congresswoman Maxine Waters, David Aaron (Snoop’s engineer), Chairman of Prisoners of Conscience Committee Fred Hampton Jr, Boots Riley from The Coup, Black Thought, music promoter Darryl Brooks, ?uestlove, Executive Director of the League of Young Voters Biko Baker & Western Union‘s Damani. More testimonials and fan questions will probably be added later.
The point of this whole campaign is for curious fans to record a video response no longer than 30 seconds with a question for either legend. The only advice I can give is don’t waste any time because once Youtube features these videos, it’s a wrap, so you basically have a head start right now. Actually young chris came into the game sounding like Jay-z….Only after state prop and rocafella started kicking it a lot in the studio, hov used some of that whisper flow from chris…..
But young chris studied jay..and flows like jay….People are so quick to try to diminish another man’s accomplishments….They all rapped together and was in the booth together, so of course they are going to take somethings off of each other…

I’m just expressing my opinion. My opinion being people make something out of nothing.
The reason I have this opinion is because I saw nothing racial about the caricature. The satire depicted in the drawing was based solely events relevant to politics. [Baring that I missed something.]
It’s not about my level of offensiveness because I don’t see anything to be offended about at all.
