During a recent interview with Joe LaPuma of Complex, Nas credits Kanye with saving Hip-Hop:
Complex: Kanye says that you are the greatest rapper of all time. How does it make you feel when people call Lil’ Wayne the best rapper alive?Nas: Oh man, good. I only feel weird when you’re saying that about me. I think Kanye West saved rap. I think Lil’ Wayne is showing there is a future for all kinds of artists to continue doing this. You know, I love it.
He also speaks on the Kanye-esque photoshoot he did with them a while back and claims he that he never, ever reads blogs.

the only thing about kanye that bothers me…well, among other things, he isnt making as many beats lately..which is cool…cuz his lyrics r on-point lately, imo…but i wanna see him take a 6 month stint of beat making again..maybe even a year..in-between albums…make hot beats and do occasional guest appearances.
