the only thing more obvious from that interview than him saying camp lo was more lyrically creative than jay is the fact that this new emcee he is working with is straight dookie. he needs to be working more with the lo like he was with the fort apache tape and … fuck, i forgot what the name of their album was. black hollywood? anyhow, the point is made.

He’s(ski) right to some degree about Camp Lo. Jay’s early works sounds a lot like Camp Lo’s flow. They came with some fly ish dudes weren’t ready for in the 90’s (only ‘true backpackers now turn hipsters’ gave ‘em love). Nahright, you should put up Camp Lo’s debut video(not the one with digiable planets)and compare it to today’s young,fly’n'flashy ish, same ish virtually.

They were bussing dance moves and rhyming at the same time. They were too fly; some dudes thought they were too sweet on their feet. Their flow sounds like some futuristic blaxploitation pimp ish, hence they were too fly for the time and did not get the mainstream recognition.
